Maxwell not off to Milan

Maxwell will not be leaving European champions Barcelona for Milan this summer, his agent has insisted.

The left-back was this week associated with the Rossoneri given that he is not a regular at the Nou Camp and because his agent is Mino Raiola.

The latter works closely with Milan and was the representative who helped them secure Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Robinho last summer.

Milan not an option for Rossi

Giuseppe Rossi's agent has dismissed reports that Milan could hijack Barcelona's move for the Villarreal ace.

The Rossoneri have been tentatively linked after the striker's recent heroics for Italy, but Federico Pastorello says he knows nothing of their apparent interest.

"I have never had any contact with Milan," Pastorello told Sky Sport Italia.

Barcelona seem to be in pole position to net the former Manchester United player and the representative confirmed their admiration.

"I will have the honour of wearing this shirt for a minimum of four years and this club is the maximum for any footballer.

Milan fly out for Ganso

Milan officials Ariedo Braida and Adriano Galliani will fly out to South America this month to watch Ganso in action.

The Santos player has been strongly linked with the Rossoneri over the last six months, even if their interest seemed to cool recently.

Nevertheless, reports in Italy on Thursday suggest that Braida and Galliani will take a closer look at the player during the Copa Libertadores Final against Penarol.

Braida will take in the first leg on June 15 and he will be joined by his Vice-President for the return on June 22.

Milan adventure excites Mexes

Philippe Mexes can't wait to wear the Milan jersey after completing his Bosman switch from Roma.

"I'm very happy about my new adventure," he told Sportitalia after having dinner with Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani last night. "I will give my all to this team.

"What did I speak to Galliani about? A bit of everything, but don't ask me who the famous Mr X is as I have no idea."

Mr X is the club's top transfer objective for the summer, but his identity still remains a bit of a mystery.

Robinho has told Italian champions Milan to not waste any of their transfer funds on a new forward this summer.

Milan to make Menez offer

Italian champions Milan could be on the verge of signing Roma enigma Jeremy Menez, according to Mediaset.

Menez may quit the Stadio Olimpico outfit this summer, three years after arriving from French outfit Monaco.

According to the story, the Rossoneri officials have already agreed personal terms with the 24-year-old attacking midfielder.

Milan, who it is said are confident of landing the player for less than €10m, will now have to reach an agreement with Roma once the club's takeover is completed.

Allegri: 'Milan never wanted Hamsik'

Massimiliano Allegri reassures fans Milan “will sign important players, but we never went after Marek Hamsik.”

The Rossoneri have already secured Taye Taiwo and Philippe Mexes on free transfers, but the newspapers are full of speculation, including a push for Napoli hero Hamsik.

“We are looking for a Milan-class player in midfield with certain characteristics,” said the Coach.

“The club will sign important players for me to train. Hamsik? We never went after him, so it was all just newspaper talk.”
