Seedorf 'hoping Inter slip up'

Clarence Seedorf admits Milan must rediscover their form and now “hope Inter make a mistake.”

The Serie A leaders fell to a surprise 1-0 defeat at Palermo last night, meaning the gap could be cut to just two points today if Inter beat Lecce.

“There is a great deal of anger within the squad, as we were unable to finish off our chances and were also quite unlucky,” said the Dutchman.

“Jankulovski sprained his left knee with a strain of both the medial collateral ligament and anterior cruciate ligament.

Leonardo: 'No derby revenge'

Leonardo is looking forward to the Milan derby, but won't pin all his hopes on that game. “All the remaining matches are decisive.”

Inter moved within two points of the Serie A leaders with today's 1-0 win over Lecce, as the Rossoneri were beaten in Palermo last night.

After the break for international duty, the two teams go head-to-head in the Derby della Madonnina on April 2.

“All the remaining matches are decisive, not just that one,” said the Coach.

Milan deal for Borussia'sDedé

There are reports from Brazil that Milan have a deal for Borussia Dortmund defender Dedé to join in the summer.

The 32-year-old Brazilian has declared he will not remain in the Bundesliga beyond the end of this season.

However, he wishes to stay in Europe for another two years before returning to South America.

According to O Globo newspaper, Milan have already reached a basic agreement to sign Dedé.

He would strengthen the left side of the defence, which is currently among their weakest spots.

Zampa: 'Milan better without Ibra'

Milan should be happy at Zlatan Ibrahimovic's ban, as he was “a weight on their shoulders,” said Maurizio Zamparini.

The Rossoneri face Palermo this evening with a 19.45 UK time kick-off, but Ibra sits out the first in his three-match ban.

“Milan should be happy, as his absence is an advantage for them,” insisted Palermo President Zamparini.

“In the last few games, the Swede had been a weight on their shoulders.”

It's not new for Zamparini to stir up controversy ahead of a big match.

Line-ups: Cassano-Pato in Palermo

Antonio Cassano, Alexandre Pato and Clarence Seedorf form a new trident attack as Milan travel to Javier Pastore's Palermo.

The kick-off at 19.45 UK time sees the Serie A leaders aim to break their Sicilian taboo, having lost their last three consecutive trips to the Stadio Barbera.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is suspended, as his three-match ban for punching Bari's Marco Rossi in the ribs starts this weekend.

This means the first time an all-new trio of Cassano, Pato and Seedorf start together in attack, leaving Robinho on the bench.

Allegri: 'We're still on top'

Massimiliano Allegri is keeping calm after Milan's surprise loss in Sicily. “We're still top of the table. A defeat can happen.”

The Rossoneri fell 1-0 to Palermo this evening, their first away defeat since the trip to Cesena in Week 2.

“Going down early on was not helpful and we didn't play well in the first half, especially the final third,” said Allegri.

“It was better after the break, although considering all our possession, we didn't have enough shots on target.

Allegri expects test in Sicily

Milan boss Max Allegri has told his players to expect a tough test when they travel to play Palermo in Sicily this weekend.

The League leaders are looking to preserve their five-point advantage at the top ahead of the upcoming Derby della Madonnina.

"Serse Cosmi is a prepared Coach who knows how to manage his team," Allegri said.

"It will be difficult because Palermo are coming off five straight defeats. They are playing at home and are a team in possession of undeniable technical qualities in midfield and in attack.

Pirlo interest is real

La Stampa claims that Juventus' reported interest in signing Milan midfielder Andrea Pirlo this summer is real.

Pirlo is out of contract in June and it's thought that Juventus plan to lure the playmaker away from San Siro on a free transfer.

Juventus are said to be balking at the price of Alberto Aquilani's transfer from Liverpool and may allow the Italy international to return to Anfield.
