As Mark Van Bommel passes the halfway mark to 1000 career games, he promises that Milan will learn from their defeat at Lazio.

Campagnaro: No Napoli crisis

Hugo Campagnaro believes Napoli are not in a crisis and are can still fight for silverware on three fronts this season.

Walter Mazzarri’s side go into their weekend meeting with Milan 13 points and five places behind them in the League after an indifferent season was only made worse by a poor start to 2012.

The team have dropped nine points in their last four games, with three of those encounters being against relegation candidates.

Arrivederci Crespo

A tearful Hernan Crespo has said goodbye to Parma and Italian football. Antonio Labbate pays tribute to one of Serie A’s best ever foreign players.

“I can’t believe that I was applauded off the field of play.” That was a young Hernan Crespo, in March 1997, as he was replaced by Sandro Melli with 10 minutes left of the League game between Parma and Cagliari.

Serie A move weekend kick-offs?

The Lega Serie A are reportedly considering moving all the weekend’s fixtures to mid-afternoon in an attempt to avoid postponements.

The midweek round was hit by four postponements as heavy snowfall and below freezing temperatures hit the north of the country.

Lazio storm to victory

As snow threatened to halt Serie A in Week 21, another kind of storm had hit Lazio’s season. Rob Paton reflects on crises temporarily averted.

“I’m waiting like everyone else. I have asked for a striker and a midfielder,” declared Edy Reja. It was mid-morning on Tuesday, and whilst preparations for the Lazio’s home match with Milan were in their final stages, the 65-year-old had, like the fans, one eye on his club’s transfer deadline day activity.
