Fiorentina to make Cassano bid?

Fiorentina boss Sinisa Mihajlovic has asked the club to sign Milan's Antonio Cassano, reports the Corriere dello Sport.

Mihajlovic wants to rebuild the Viola after a disappointing campaign and believes Cassano could be the catalyst to success.

It is being claimed that the tactician has asked the Della Valle family, who own the Viola, to gift him the services of the forward.

Fiorentina will try to tempt the Rossoneri into a sale by offering Adrian Mutu in return, as well as possibly allowing Milan to do a deal for Viola ace Riccardo Montolivo.

Legrottaglie has Milan wish

Despite playing just 33 minutes for Milan, Nicola Legrottaglie wants a new contract with the Italian champions.

The veteran defender joined the Rossoneri in January, after his surprise move from Juventus, but he picked up an injury on his debut and never got another chance.

Legrottaglie's agreement expires next month, but he'd like to remain with the freshly-crowned Scudetto winners.

Parolo good enough for Milan

Marco Parolo has got what is needed to play for Italian champions Milan, says Cesena boss Massimo Ficcadenti.

Parolo has had a wonderful debut campaign in Serie A and is expected to move on to a bigger club.

Sides such as Palermo, Fiorentina and Genoa have been paired, but so too have the Rossoneri.

"Parolo is a great player," Ficcadenti noted. "I know that he is being looked at by important clubs, but nothing has been decided yet.

"Milan? That is a possibility."

Milan last Italian club for Gattuso

Gennaro Gattuso will not join another Italian club if he decides to leave Milan at the end of this season.

The 2006 World Cup winner has been linked with a summer transfer given that he is now 33-years-old.

However, unlike Andrea Pirlo who looks set to join Juventus, Gattuso's representative insists that the player would be unable to wear the colours of another Serie A club.

"I think he'll stay at Milan," Andrea D'Amico noted. "However, if he was to leave, he'd never go to an Italian side after the Rossoneri.

Pirlo pushed towards Juventus

Andrea Pirlo is likely to be playing for Juventus next season after leaving Milan, his agent has commented.

The midfielder this week confirmed that he wouldn't be remaining with the Italian champions once his contract expires in June.

A switch to Juventus has been rumoured for months and it indeed now looks like such a transfer will occur.

"A final decision will be made in the next few days, but I think Juventus are the prime candidates," Tulio Tinti noted.

Boateng '90 per cent' staying at Milan

Genoa President Enrico Preziosi is “90 per cent” sure Kevin-Prince Boateng will stay at Milan and admits Diego Milito won't be returning either.

The Grifone signed Boateng from Portsmouth in the summer to then immediately loan him to the Rossoneri, but details of a permanent transfer are still up in the air.

“We'll meet with Adriano Galliani on Tuesday. If we don't resolve it then, it means we have serious problems,” explained Preziosi.
