Heart operation for Cassano?

Reports in Italy are starting to suggest that Antonio Cassano may need surgery to correct a possible heart defect.

The Italy striker has been in hospital since Saturday night after feeling unwell on the flight home after Milan's 3-2 win at Roma.

The Rossoneri are set to release an official statement regarding the player's condition later today, but that hasn't stopped the speculation regarding a possible diagnosis.

Cassano will have heart op

Antonio Cassano will need minor surgery to correct a congenital heart problem, Milan have confirmed.

The Italian has been in hospital since Saturday night after developing problems with his speech, movement and vision on the flight home following the 3-2 win at Roma.

The 29-year-old has undergone a series of tests this week which have eventually found the cause of the problem.
