Milan push for Criscito

Milan will make an effort to sign Italy international full-back Domenico Criscito in the January transfer window, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

It's no secret that the League leaders plan to reinforce their squad in view of the second half of the season.

Speaking to Sky Italia last night Adriano Galliani said that two players could arrive before deadline day.

It's thought that one will be a midfielder with Andrea Lazzari and Mark Van Bommel being mooted as possible candidates.

Galliani cools Van Bommel interest

Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani has ruled out a move for Bayern Munich midfielder Mark Van Bommel.

The 33-year-old Holland international is out of contract in the summer and has consulted Italian agent Mino Raiola about finding an alternative destination.

Criscito agent warns Milan

Genoa star Domenico Criscito's agent has warned Milan “he is the best Italian left-back, so the price-tag is high.”

This morning the Rossoneri were linked with a bid for Criscito in the newspapers, as his versatility makes him an ideal replacement for Alessandro Nesta.

“For now I have received no contact from Milan, so it is all newspaper rumour,” agent Vincenzo D'Amico told Radio Sportiva.

Milan to move for Mexes?

Milan are seriously thinking about making a move for Roma defender Philippe Mexes to shore up their defence.

Sunday's 4-4 draw has got Massimiliano Allegri worried that his team are too leaky at the back, especially when one of Thiago Silva or Alessandro Nesta is missing.

Mexes is out of contract at Roma in the summer and though Rosella Sensi has said that the club would like to extend his existing deal, the France international defender insists he is in no hurry.

Mihajlovic: 'Cavani is better than Ibra'

Fiorentina Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic believes Napoli striker Edinson Cavani is already better than Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The Uruguay international is Serie A's top scorer with 13 goals following his hat-trick against Juventus on Sunday.

"The best signing of the season until the weekend was Ibrahimovic, but after three goals he scored against Juve, Cavani has overtaken him," said Mihajlovic.

"He is the best player in the League and he is more decisive than Ibrahimovic.

Pato: 'I'd never follow Leo to Inter'

Alexandre Pato insists he would “never” follow Leonardo's example by crossing over to Inter. “I only want Milan.”

The Coach caused controversy when he accepted the bench after Rafa Benitez terminated his contract.

Ronaldinho signs for Flamengo

Flamengo have formally announced on their official website that they have signed Ronaldinho from Milan on a four-year deal.

The 30-year-old playmaker's contract was due to expire in the summer and Milan felt it best that they went their separate ways.

Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani gave the Brazil international permission to seek a move home to Brazil after he brought in Antonio Cassano to replace him.

Onyewu leaves Milan for Twente

Milan defender Oguchi Onyewu has joined Dutch champions FC Twente on loan until the end of the season.

The United States international has made just one appearance for Milan since his arrival in 2009.

The 28-year-old has endured an injury-ravaged 18 months and got into a fight with Zlatan Ibrahimovic after the Swede went in a little too hard during training.

Onyewu had accepted to play for free this season such were his knee problems.
