Cutrone makes winning Wolves start

Patrick Cutrone made a winning start for Wolverhampton Wanderers, debuting in a 4-0 win against Pyunik in the Europa League.

Cutrone recently joined Wolves from Milan in a €23m deal and was given his competitive debut on Thursday, coming on as a second-half substitute in Armenia.

The striker made an instant impact, winning a penalty for Ruben Neves to stroke home, thus ensuring a strong advantage for the Premier League side in their Europa League third-round qualifier.

Wolves rejected by Rugani & Kessie

Wolverhampton Wanderers reportedly failed in a deadline-day double swoop for Juventus defender Daniele Rugani and Milan midfielder Franck Kessie.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport’s Nicolo Schira, Wolves received green lights from Juve and Milan to negotiate personal terms with the pair.

The Premier League side were linked with a €30m bid for Rugani, while it is understood Milan had agreed to sell Kessie for €28m, but Schira claims both players rejected the move.

Report: Kessie wants Milan stay

Wolverhampton Wanderers could miss out on Franck Kessie as the midfielder reportedly wants to stay at Milan.

Wolves have agreed a €28m fee for Kessie, but it is understood personal terms are proving an issue.

Milan News has since followed up that the Ivorian trained normally with the Rossoneri on Thursday and hopes to remain at San Siro.

Wolves 'to sign €28m Kessie'

Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly agreed a €28m deal to sign Milan midfielder Franck Kessie.

According to Sportitalia, Wolves will pay €25m up front for Kessie plus €3m in bonuses.

The onus would now be on the Premier League side to negotiate personal terms with the Ivorian.

Milan recently paid Atalanta €24m to make their two-year loan for the 22-year-old permanent.

However, his profile does not appear to tie in with Marco Giampaolo’s vision for the Rossoneri’s midfield.

Report: Wolves bid for Kessie accepted

Wolves have reportedly agreed a €25m plus €3m bonus fee for Franck Kessie, but the Milan midfielder wants a big salary increase.

According to Sportitalia transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà, the Rossoneri accepted the offer of €25m plus €3m in various add-ons.

However, it’s a race against time to get the contract finalised ahead of the Premier League deadline, which is on Thursday at 17.00 UK time.

The Ivory Coast international currently earns €2.5m per year, but is said to be asking for a wage closer to €4m.

Praet seals €21m Leicester move

Dennis Praet has reportedly agreed personal terms, as Leicester City and Sampdoria exchanged the contracts this evening for €21m.

According to Sky Sport Italia breaking news, the deal has been done after a momentary hiccup based on his salary demands.

The Belgium international had been valued at €26m, but it’s reported he will move to the Premier League for €21m.

There are also some performance-related bonuses involved.

Agent: 'Cutrone was a bargain'

Patrick Cutrone’s agent confirms Napoli also wanted the former Milan striker, but he feels Wolves “got the better of the deal” for €23m.

The transfer to Wolverhampton Wanderers was completed for a reported €18m plus €5m in various bonuses.

“The decision was tied to the opportunity to play regular first-team football, as Patrick is 21 years old and needs to play in order to grow,” agent Donato Orgnoni told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.

Bologna: Impact sign Bojan

Former Roma and Milan forward Bojan Krkic has officially joined Bologna’s sister club Montreal Impact.

Bojan has signed a one-year contract with the Impact and moves on a free transfer after leaving Stoke City.

The 28-year-old is best known for his time at Barcelona, where he won three Spanish titles and two Champions Leagues.

He then spent two seasons in Serie A with Roma and Milan, before moving on to Ajax and then Stoke in 2014.

However, he has lost his way at the Bet365 Stadium and will now look to kick-start his career in MLS.

Official: Milan sign Duarte

Milan have officially signed defender Leo Duarte from Flamengo for a reported €11m.

It was confirmed on Wednesday that Milan had deposited Duarte’s contract with Lega Serie A.

The Brazilian is thought to have committed to the Rossoneri for the next five years.

The 23-year-old made 60 appearances for Flamengo, scoring two goals, but is uncapped at international level.

He replaces Cristian Zapata as a centre-back option for the Diavolo, the Colombian having since joined Genoa.

Amantino Mancini in at Foggia

Former Roma star Amantino Mancini has taken his first managerial job after being confirmed as Foggia’s new Coach.

Mancini is handed the reins at a Foggia side who must start again in Serie D following their demotion from the second tier.

The 39-year-old is best known for his spell at Roma between 2003 and 2008, scoring 59 goals in 222 games.

His performances on the Giallorossi’s right wing earned him a €13m transfer to Inter, but he could not rekindle his previous form.
