Martinez: 'Lukaku unfairly blamed'

Belgium manager Roberto Martinez assures Romelu Lukaku was ‘unfairly blamed’ for Manchester United failings and at Inter is ‘in the best moment of his career.’

The striker has been a sensation at San Siro, scoring 34 goals in his first season between Serie A, the Champions League, Europa League and Coppa Italia.

“You can see the player going through phases, good moments, bad moments, but what we’ve seen with Romelu is he’s never lost his outstanding quality which is scoring goals,” Martinez told Talksport.

Inter fury at Belgium over Lukaku

Inter are said to be furious after Belgium called up Romelu Lukaku for the Nations League, despite not being fully fit.
