Nainggolan: 'Monchi wanted me in Turkey'

Radja Nainggolan reveals Roma tried to sell him behind his back, he had a row with Monchi and has changed his ways at Inter. “I’ve cut down on smoking…”

The midfielder was sold last summer as part of a deal that took Nicolò Zaniolo to Roma and their form had many claiming the Giallorossi got the better end of the deal.

He acknowledged that in an interview with Eleven Sports Belgium and assured he is changing his ways after being temporarily frozen out of the team earlier this season.

Milan in for Nigerian starlet?

Milan are reportedly keen on signing Charleroi and Nigeria starlet Victor Osimhen.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Milan have turned their attentions to Osimhen after being priced out of moves for Gerard Deulofeu and Yannick Carrasco.

The website explains negotiations are ‘ready to go live’ with the intention of taking the 20-year-old to San Siro.

The attacker, who can play anywhere along the front line, has 10 goals in 20 appearances for Charleroi this season, as well as three Nigeria caps.

Carrasco: 'Nothing has been signed'

Yannick Carrasco’s wife confirms he “received offers from Germany, Spain, England and Italy, but nothing has been signed.”

The Belgium international is expected to leave Dalian Yifang for a return to Europe during the January transfer window.

Milan and Manchester United are believed to be the favourites for his signature.

“There is a lot going on,” his wife Noemie Happart told RTBF.

Milan face Carrasco competition

Yannick Carrasco has reportedly asked to leave Dalian Yifang, but Milan face competition from Manchester United and Bayern Munich.

The 25-year-old Belgium international made the move from Atletico Madrid to China just under a year ago at a cost of €30m.

However, he is believed to be missing Europe and has put in a transfer request for the January window.

Milan have already openly declared their interest, but Manchester United and Bayern Munich are also evaluating the situation.

Nainggolan had costly casino trip

Inter midfielder Radja Nainggolan has reportedly been robbed of €150,000, but tracing falsified cheques showed his many losses at the casino.

The former Roma man has never disguised his partying lifestyle, but La Stampa newspaper claims an unfortunate incident revealed more expensive gambling trips.

According to La Stampa, Nainggolan visited police accompanied by an Inter figure to help track down who had been falsifying his cheques to the tune of €150,000.

Martinez: ‘If I had 12 players…’

Belgium Coach Roberto Martinez explains he’d have called-up Radja Nainggolan for the World Cup “if I could play 12 players”.

The midfielder, then at Roma, was controversially excluded from the squad and announced his international retirement.

The decision didn’t seem to affect the squad though, as the Red Devils reached the semi-finals of the tournament.

“It would have been easier for me to select the most popular players,” Martinez pointed out, speaking to voetbalnieuws.be.

Di Biagio bemoans U21 draw

Italy Under-21 Coach Gigi Di Biagio feels they had the toughest draw with Spain, Belgium and Poland in the European Championship.

The Azzurrini are in Group A and begin the competition in 2019 against Spain on June 16 at the Stadio Dall’Ara in Bologna.

Italy are hosting the tournament, while Germany are in Group B with Austria, Serbia and Denmark.

Nainggolan: ‘Belgium excuses pathetic’

Inter midfielder Radja Nainggolan will never return to the Belgium squad after “pathetic” excuses for being left out of the World Cup.

The 30-year-old wasn’t included in the 23 to travel to Russia, with Coach Roberto Martinez insisting the decision was purely tactical.

“I'm not going back to the national team again. I said that if I don't go to the World Cup, I'll quit, and I'm a man of my word,” Nainggolan told ESPN FC.
