Lotito: ‘Campaign of lies’

Lazio President Claudio Lotito hits out at “a campaign of lies” after reports he’s under suspicion for illicit deals.

It’s being reported that prosecutors in Milan are investigating the Lazio President, among others, for rigging the sale of TV rights in favour of one particular broadcaster.

“For eight months now, a campaign of lies has been taking place against me,” Lotito told La Repubblica.

Preziosi: 'I’m the victim'

Genoa President Enrico Preziosi comments on the developing InFront scandal - “I could actually be the victim.”

Reports emerged this morning that Preziosi, Claudio Lotito of Lazio and Gianluca Paparesta were being investigated by prosecutors in Milan over the sale of television rights. None of the men have been charged with any offence.

Lazio fans to protest transfers

Lazio’s Curva Nord Ultras have released a statement criticising the club’s transfer activity this summer.

The Biancocelesti added Alessandro Matri to their squad on deadline day yesterday, having already recruited Ravel Morrison, Ricardo Kishna and Wesley Hoedt.

Despite those moves, the club’s hardcore fans are not satisfied, and have declared they will not buy season tickets this season.

“We’re not happy with the work the club has done,” a representative for the Curva Nord told Elle Radio.

Lotito: 'Lazio fly like our eagle'

Lazio President Claudio Lotito said his team “will fly as high as our eagle” after beating Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League.

The second leg is in Germany on August 26, as Keita Balde Diao secured a 1-0 home victory.

“We start on the right foot,” declared Lotito at the Stadio Olimpico.

Lazio after Chinese sponsor

President Claudio Lotito's time in Shanghai suggests Lazio could be after a Chinese sponsor, but the project is slow-moving.

The Biancocelest lost the Supercup 2-0 in the Far East, but may still walk away from that trip with something.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Lotito was able to spend a few days in the country and set up the first contacts, with a view to finding a Chinese sponsor for Lazio.

Lazio unveil away kit

Lazio have unveiled a new away kit ahead of Saturday’s Supercoppa Italiana clash against Juventus in Shanghai.

The shirt, made my Macron, is based on the same ‘Aquila stilizzata’ design the club released as a home shirt in January to celebrate their 115 year anniversary.

Mauri: ‘Goodbye Lazio’

Stefano Mauri confirms he will leave Lazio after nine years - ‘I will never stop being one of you’.

The 35-year-old attacking midfielder was out of contract on June 30, and it appears he has not been offered an extension by the capital club.

“In my heart, I always have been, I am, and I always will be captain of my beloved Lazio,” Mauri wrote on his official Facebook page.
