Napoli look to Morata?

It is reported that Napoli will look to sign forward Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid, should their attempt to prise Mauro Icardi from Inter fail.

The European champions only recently re-signed the Spanish international striker from Juventus in a €30m deal.

However, according to a report in Spain, that has not put off Partenopei President Aurelio De Laurentiis from arranging a meeting with Los Blancos officials in order to discuss a potential deal.

Inter do Morata deal for Jese?

Inter could reportedly offer Real Madrid a deal for Jese similar to the one which took Alvaro Morata to Juventus.

The 22-year-old has been linked with the Nerazzurri this week, but Los Merengues are not thought to be keen on losing the striker.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, the Beneamata could look to emulate the deal which took Morata to Turin.

The return of the real Juventus

Juventus have resembled the walking wounded, but after recovering players from injury Luca Cetta expects the Bianconeri to start the climb up the table.

Immediate reactions weren’t encouraging. In some discomfort as he lay prone on the turf, Alvaro Morata was stretchered from the field. Initial speculation pointed to potentially a month on the sidelines.

The scenario echoed that of Claudio Marchisio last season, originally ruled out for at least six months following a knee injury picked up on Italy duty. That sparked a furore between Antonio Conte and his former employers. Fortunately for Juve, the midfielder was back in a matter of weeks.

The Juventus striker was stretchered off during Friday evening’s game with Luxembourg.

There were initial fears it was a serious injury, as a fracture would have him sidelined for up to four months.

According to Spanish paper As and Sky Sport Italia, X-Rays in hospital ruled out a fracture or lesion.

Samir Handanovic [Inter]

Called on early with several goal attempts from Samp but dealt with them efficiently. Always alert , and though he could perhaps could have done better on the goal, without him Inter would surely have not come away with a point. Inspiring.

Allegri: 'Khedira brings experience'

Max Allegri believes Sami Khedira has helped bring much-needed experience to a young Juventus side.

The Bianconeri finally got their first home win of the Serie A season in a 3-1 over Bologna, but were trailing for the fifth time in seven rounds.

“Alvaro Morata should’ve passed it to Juan Cuadrado in the opening minute, then we’d be 1-0 up. We conceded a goal with the defence in place, which shouldn’t happen,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.

“I don’t think there’s a difference in performance [between Serie A and Europe],” Dybala considered, speaking to Premium Sport.

“In Europe, teams play more openly and allow space.

'Juve must perform in Serie A now'

Alvaro Morata believes it's time for Juventus to match their European performances to those in Serie A.

The holding Scudetto winners had a terrible start to the season and are sitting at fifteenth in the standings, with only five points in six games.

But they have been doing much better in the Champions League, and Morata showed all of his satisfaction when celebrating his goal against Sevilla last Wednesday evening.

Dominant Euro-Juve show capability

Juventus made it two Champions League wins from two with a commanding 2-0 victory over Sevilla. Luca Cetta saw much to admire from the Old Lady.

Aesthetically, Alessandro Del Piero’s bunch takes the cake. There’s little doubt about that. A ‘Gol alla Del Piero’ against both Borussia Dortmund and Steaua Bucharest. Free-kicks versus Rangers and the Germans. The collection was a masterpiece.
