Balotelli in Flamengo talks

Italy striker Mario Balotelli is in talks with Flamengo over a surprise move to the Brazilian side.

Balotelli is currently a free agent after being released by Olympique Marseille and had been linked with moves back to Serie A.

However, Gianluca Di Marzio reports negotiations are ongoing to take the 28-year-old to Flamengo.

The Rubro-Negro already have Inter forward Gabriel Barbosa and former Roma midfielder Gerson on their books.

Miranda: Two more years

Inter defender Miranda plans to return to Brazil ‘in two years’ but suggests there could be movement as early as next week.

Miranda is going into the new season as Inter’s fourth-choice centre-back following the arrival of his former Atletico Madrid teammate Diego Godin.

Speaking to Brazilian outlet Gazeta do Povo, the 34-year-old revealed his desire to end his career with first club Coritiba.

“I’m a Coritiba fan, I hope they can return to the top tier as soon as possible,” he admitted.

Miranda to 'analyse proposals'

Inter defender Joao Miranda confirms he will “analyse the proposals and see what happens,” as a transfer seems very likely.

The veteran impressed in the Copa America with Brazil, but is expected to leave San Siro this summer.

Roma, Olympique Marseille and Monaco are believed to be options for the 34-year-old, whose Inter contract is due to expire in June 2020.

Gerson set for Flamengo

Roma midfielder Gerson is set to return to Brazil with Flamengo in a €10m move.

Calciomercato.com, Il Tempo and Gianluca Di Marzio all report an agreement has been reached between Roma and Flamengo.

The Rubro-Negro will buy Gerson for €10m, with the Giallorossi entitled to 10-15 percent of a future resale.

He is expected to put pen to paper on a contract until 2023 with Flamengo, who already have Inter loanee Gabriel Barbosa on their books.

Milan deny Everton interest

Although A Bola claims Brazil star Everton is pushing for a Milan move, Italian sources close to the club insist the Gremio winger is no longer a target.

The report appeared in Portuguese paper A Bola today, suggesting Everton had agreed personal terms and the Rossoneri needed to pay the €40m asking price.

However, Italian media including MilanNews.it and La Gazzetta dello Sport contacted Milan, only to be told Everton is not in their plans.

Report: Everton wants Milan

Portuguese paper A Bola claim Brazil and Gremio winger Everton wants to join Milan, but will cost around €40m.

The 23-year-old attacking winger plays primarily on the left, but can also work on the right or as a support striker.

He was top scorer for Brazil in the Copa America, finding the net in the 3-1 Final victory over Peru last night too.

Paqueta: Giampaolo excites me

Lucas Paqueta is returning to Milan ‘with more experience and confidence’ and is excited about the prospect of playing under Marco Giampaolo.

Paqueta was part of the Brazil squad who won Copa America on Sunday evening, and the midfielder will be working with a new Coach at Milan next season.

Argentina invited to Nations League?

Fox Sports has made the shock claim that Argentina have been invited to the next Nations League.

Argentina finished third at Copa America, but their run was marred by Lionel Messi accusing CONMEBOL of engineering a Brazil victory through favourable officiating.

With that in mind, Fox Sports Argentina is now reporting the Albiceleste have an invitation to play in the Nations League.

However, they can only participate in the tournament if they opt out of the next Copa America in 2023.

Copa America: Brazil victorious

Brazil have won the Copa America after beating Peru 3-1, but Gabriel Jesus was sent off, with Alex Sandro and Allan playing.

The Selecao were made to fight harder than expected in the Final, as Everton’s opener was cancelled out by a Paolo Guerrero penalty for Thiago Silva handball.

That was the first and only goal ex-Roma ‘keeper Alisson Becker conceded during the tournament.

After the break, Gabriel Jesus added to his assist with a goal, but was then sent off for a second bookable offence.

Inter propose Dani Alves contract

Reports in Brazil claim Inter made an offer to free agent Dani Alves, but he would prefer a return to Barcelona.

The 36-year-old right-back is on the market after his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expired and he could make a return to Italy, having played at Juventus in 2016-17.

According to UOL Esporte, Inter have sent a proposal for a two-year contract and the personal terms are considered satisfactory.

However, Dani Alves has his heart set on a return to Barcelona, where he spent eight years up to 2016.
