He scored his first goal for the senior Brazil side on his full debut, wearing the iconic Number 10 jersey.

Monaco and Benfica eye Miranda

Inter reportedly won’t stand in his way if Joao Miranda wants to leave this summer, with Monaco and Benfica interested.

The Brazil international centre-back has dropped down the pecking order behind Stefan de Vrij and Milan Skriniar, so wants a new experience to get more playing time.

However, it’s suggested he turned down moves to China and the UAE in January, as he’d still like one or two more seasons in Europe.

According to FCInterNews, Miranda’s agent is evaluating the proposals and leaning towards Monaco or Benfica.

Paqueta opens Brazil account

Milan star Lucas Paqueta has scored his first senior Brazil goal and achieved it wearing the iconic Number 10 jersey.

The 21-year-old creative midfielder already had two caps under his belt, but they were both brief substitute appearances in friendlies against the USA and El Salvador in September 2018.

His performances since the January move from Flamengo to Milan impressed enough to earn Paqueta not only a starting spot in this evening’s friendly with Panama, but also the prestigious Number 10 shirt.

Paqueta: More Brazil freedom, but...

Milan midfielder Lucas Paqueta admits he is given ‘more freedom’ by Brazil but insists Gennaro Gattuso is playing him in his best position.

Many saw Paqueta as a spiritual successor to Kaka when Milan signed him in January, but the 21-year-old has gone on to find a home in central midfield as opposed to further afield.

“It all happened very quickly,” he told reporters from Brazil’s training camp, referring to his €35m transfer.

However, the Porto left-back was recently called up to the Brazil squad for the first time after he scored the penalty that knocked Roma out of the Champions League.
