Paqueta in Brazil squad

Lucas Paqueta, Miranda, Alex Sandro and Allan are all in Brazil’s squad to face Panama and Czech Republic next month.

Paqueta is rewarded for his bright start at Milan and Alex Sandro replaces Juventus target Marcelo at left-back, while Miranda and Allan both keep their places.

However there are no spots for Parma new boy Gabriel Brazao and the injured Douglas Costa, although former Lazio winger Felipe Anderson is a new addition.

Report: Juve sign Brazilian defender

Juventus have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Flamengo defender and Brazil youth international Wesley.

Calciomercato.com cites reports from Brazil that claim Juve will be able to register Wesley at the end of March, when his Flamengo contract expires.

The teenager - who turns 19 on Sunday - is a right-back who won the South American U-17 Championship with Brazil in 2017.

He is nicknamed ‘Gasolina’ for his pace and is represented by Mino Raiola but has not played since last May due to a contractual dispute with Flamengo.

Official: Parma sign Brazao

Parma have finally confirmed the signing of teenage Brazil goalkeeper Gabriel Brazao from Cruzeiro.

Brazao’s contract was deposited with Lega Serie A on January 31, but only now have Parma announced his arrival as they tweeted a picture of him holding a club scarf.

The 18-year-old helped Brazil finish third at the 2017 U-17 World Cup and was called up to their senior squad in November.

It is understood his signing came in conjunction with Inter, who did not have any empty non-EU spots left but should have him in their ranks next season.

Inter target Brazilian Brazao

Inter are reportedly in negotiations for Cruzeiro’s teenage goalkeeper Gabriel Brazao.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the Nerazzurri have set their sights on the 18-year-old talent.

He impressed for Brazil at the Under-17 World Cup in 2017, where he was named Goalkeeper of the Tournament, and already has two caps for his country at Under-20 level.

Brazao would be sent out on loan for at least six months, so he could qualify for a Portuguese passport and by-pass limits on non-EU players.

Man City and Bayern forget Allan

Manchester City and Bayern Munich enquired after Napoli midfielder Allan, but were told he is categorically not for sale.

According to CalcioNapoli24, no offers have been received, because the clubs saw from the initial approach that it was a futile exercise.

The Brazilian only recently extended his contract to June 2023 and earns circa €2.5m per year.

Carlo Ancelotti slammed the brakes and put the veto on even considering an Allan departure from the squad.

Allan: Best spell of my career

Allan says he is experiencing ‘the highest point of my career’, despite Napoli’s Champions League exit.

Napoli were demoted to the Europa League after their 1-0 defeat to Liverpool midweek, but the Partenopei nonetheless remain Juventus’ nearest challengers for the Scudetto, while Allan recently earned his first-ever Brazil call-up.

“The disappointment was huge, but it wasn’t such a simple group,” the midfielder told the club’s official website.
