Racing: 'Lautaro close to Barcelona'

Racing Club President Victor Blanco maintains Lautaro Martinez ‘is close to a move to Barcelona,’ good news considering he asked Inter for a cut of the profits.

There is a release clause worth €111m in his contract, but the clubs are negotiating a transfer involving cash plus players in exchange.

Report: Zaracho yes to Milan

Milan have allegedly received the green light by Matias Zaracho and are currently negotiating the price tag for the starlet with his current employer Racing Club.

The attacking midfielder, who can also play on the wing, has been looking for an opportunity in Europe and Calciomercato.com reports that he has given his word to the Rossoneri.

The 21-year-old has played 16 games and contributed four goals so far in 2019-20, whilst being capped eight times in total by the Argentina Under-23 side.

Milan meet with De Paul agent

Milan directors Paolo Maldini and Zvonimir Boban have met with the agent of Udinese star Rodrigo De Paul, states an Italian report.

Calciomercato.com believes that Boban and Maldini met with agent Agustin Jimenez to discuss potential deals in January and for next summer.

Jimenez is the agent of Argentine midfielder De Paul, and also Matias Zaracho, a 21-year-old who currently plays for Club Racing.

De Paul had been linked with a move to Inter last summer, but a deal never materialised. However, the Nerazzurri may return for De Paul this summer.

Racing Avellaneda ask after Pastore

Roma flop Javier Pastore could be moving back to Argentina in January, with reported interest from Racing Avellaneda.

The creative midfielder has struggled to find his form and fitness since the €25m move from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2018.

He has made five appearances this season in all competition, providing one assist.

According to CNN Deportes, Pastore could be heading back to Argentina for Racing Avellaneda in the January transfer window.

Official: Udinese sign Musso

Udinese have officially signed goalkeeper Juan Augustin Musso from Racing Club de Avellaneda.

The 24-year-old shot-stopper has put together 80 appearances for his club in Argentina.

He put pen to paper on a contract with the Friulani to June 2023.

It remains to be seen if he will remain in Udine this season or be loaned out to Premier League side Watford.

Both Watford and Udinese are owned by the Pozzo family, so regularly exchange players.

Udinese get Racing 'keeper

Alex Meret is closer than ever to Napoli after Udinese agreed terms with Racing Club Avellaneda for Juan Musso.

Meret has emerged as the hot favourite to replace Pepe Reina at the Stadio San Paolo, beating out Alphonse Areola of Paris Saint-Germain.

A deal seems imminent for €25m plus bonuses, because the Friulani have already found his replacement.

They went to Argentina for 24-year-old Musso and the deal is believed to be worth €4m, according to Argentine paper Clarin.

Release clause for Martinez

Lautaro Martinez has arrived in Italy for a medical and details are emerging about his Inter contract, including a €111m release clause.

The striker flew in from Argentina yesterday and had dinner with Vice-President Javier Zanetti.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, the cost of the operation will eventually be €25m plus 10 per cent of any future resale value to his old club Racing Club Avellaneda.

Racing: 'Lautaro sold to Inter'

Lautaro Martinez “has already been sold to Inter,” confirmed Racing Club President Victor Blanco, but they'll negotiate to keep him until December.

The deal was struck several weeks ago for €25m plus 10 per cent of any future sale, a remarkably low sum considering the 20-year-old has now scored 15 goals plus five assists in 22 competitive games this season.

He lit up the Copa Libertadores with five goals in as many matches.

Icardi out of Argentina squad

Future Inter striker Lautaro Martinez will be in the Argentina squad for the 2018 World Cup, but not current star Mauro Icardi, it’s reported.

According to TyC Sports, Coach Jorge Sampaoli has drawn up the list of 35 names, which will later be whittled down for the tournament.

Icardi is seemingly not on there, whereas Racing Club Avellaneda starlet Martinez is included.

Inter have already agreed terms with both Racing and 20-year-old Martinez to complete the transfer over the summer.

Racing: 'Dortmund too late on Lautaro'

Borussia Dortmund have made an offer for Lautaro Martinez, but Racing Club President Victor Blanco admits it’s “too late, as he will play for Inter.”

The reports emerged that the Bundesliga side had made a proposal worth €32.5m for the striker, considerably more than the €26.8m agreed with Inter.

“Lautaro Martinez will play for Inter,” confirmed Racing President Blanco on Sportia and La 990 Radio.
