Marek Hamsik’s agent has revealed that the midfielder is leaving Napoli with regrets, ‘a lot of them for not having won the title last season.’

Hamsik is on his way to China with Dalian Yifang after Napoli announced his departure on Thursday, and Martin Petras admitted to mixed feelings on his client’s part.

“He’s still in Slovakia. These have been difficult weeks for Marek,” he told CalcioNapoli24.

Marek Hamsik could reportedly be given a send-off by Napoli on the day of their Serie A match against Udinese on March 17.

Hamsik officially left Napoli for Chinese side Dalian Yifang on Thursday, but the nature of his transfer meant he was not able to properly bid farewell to the club.

According to Il Mattino, March 17 could be the date as the Chinese Super League will be on break for two weeks, while Napoli host Udinese at the San Paolo that day.

Carlo Ancelotti felt Napoli “could’ve scored a lot more goals and lost our focus towards the end” of a 3-1 Europa League victory at FC Zurich.

Lorenzo Insigne, Jose Callejon and Piotr Zielinski got the goals, but Benjamin Kololli converted a late penalty and the hosts hit the woodwork in stoppages.

“Europe is always special. We did pretty well, it’s a good result,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia after his first ever Europa League game.

Napoli have officially confirmed Marek Hamsik’s transfer to Dalian Yifang for a reported €20m.

“We kept him tight all these years,” the President told reporters in Zurich.

“Moratti wanted him, Allegri wanted him, both when he was at Milan and now at Juventus.

Following on from his statements earlier in the day, Napoli lawyer Mattia Grassani told Radio Kiss Kiss that the deal to take Hamsik to Dalian was done.

“Hamsik became a Dalian player at 20:30 [CET],” he said.

The Chinese club will reportedly pay €20m for the midfielder, who is thought to have agreed a contract worth €27m over three seasons.

Napoli lawyer Mattia Grassani has confirmed that Marek Hamsik could complete his transfer to Dalian Yifang on Wednesday.

Hamsik’s move had been delayed after Dalian did not satisfy Napoli’s desire for a permanent sale, but Grassani believes an agreement has finally been reached.

“Hamsik’s transfer to Dalian could go through today,” he told Radio Kiss Kiss.

“There are no more legal or financial obstacles. Now the ball is with the respective Presidents.

Hamsik’s move to Dalian seemed to be back on, with a deal scheduled for completion before Wednesday, but Mattia Grassani reiterated an agreement would only be found on Napoli’s terms.
