Hamsik and Kucka released

Marek Hamsik and Juraj Kucka have been released to Napoli and Milan early by the Slovakia squad.

The pair started the test with Switzerland and both were set to feature in Tuesday’s friendly against Iceland.

However, in agreement with the two clubs, Slovakia have officially released Hamsik and Kucka to return to Italy immediately.

They also let Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel go back to England ahead of the Iceland match.

Slovakia beat Switzerland 3-2 on Friday.

Hamsik: 'Napoli Scudetto and Europa'

Marek Hamsik trusts “Napoli will fight for the Scudetto and Europa League this season.”

The Partenopei have been on sparkling form, winning 11 of their last 13 competitive games, scoring 33 goals and conceding three.

“Napoli will fight for the Scudetto and the Europa League this season,” he told the Corriere dello Sport.

“It is still premature to talk about winning silverware and these great results could mean nothing in the long run, but it’ll be decided in the final weeks of the campaign.

Hamsik: 'Napoli dominated'

Marek Hamsik insists “Napoli dominated the game and Udinese were never dangerous” in their 1-0 victory.

Gonzalo Higuain got the decisive goal at the Stadio San Paolo.

“Napoli dominated the game and Udinese were never dangerous. In the first half we had four clear-cut scoring opportunities, but we didn’t take them,” Hamsik told Radio Kiss Kiss.

“It is a deserved victory. It was important to win because the other teams in the top places won this weekend.

Hamsik: ‘Pleased to qualify’

Marek Hamsik says Napoli want to go “as far as possible” in the Europa League, after securing qualification.

The Partenopei sealed top spot in Group D in style last night, winning 5-0 away to Danish side Midtjylland.

“From the first minute we pushed forward toward our objective,” Hamsik wrote on his official website.

Hamsik: 'Only lacked a goal'

The Partenopei missed the chance to go joint top of the table with Fiorentina and Inter, so remain fourth behind Roma.

Hamsik: ‘Don’t write off Juventus’

Napoli captain Marek Hamsik isn’t counting Juventus out of the Scudetto race, and admits “we’re having fun.”

The Bianconeri lost their fourth match in 10 Serie A games last night, going down 1-0 at Sassuolo, while the Partenopei won their fifth game in a row.
