Boston Celtics vice president Mike Zarren sent a message of congratulations to Atalanta after their Coppa Italia semi-final win over Fiorentina.
Gian Piero Gasperini’s side were electric in the second leg of their cup semi-final clash with the Viola on Wednesday evening, sending a resounding response after their 1-0 loss in the first leg. The Bergamo outfit flew to a 4-1 win to progress to the final, where they’ll face Juventus.
Atalanta still haven’t managed to secure any silverware under Gasperini, despite his incredible work over the last eight years, and they are desperate to change that this season. La Dea also have the chance to secure a trophy in the Europa League, where they’ll face Olympique Marseille in the semi-finals.

The two sporting teams are tied through their ownership and Stephen Pagliuca, who led a 55% takeover of the Bergamo club back in February 2022.
