Boateng: 'Only back for Milan'

Kevin-Prince Boateng has revealed that he would only go back for Milan, who have ‘always been the team of my heart’.

Boateng enjoyed two spells at Milan between 2010 and 2016, his first being the most successful as he won a Scudetto in 2011.

“I’d like to end my career at Hertha Berlin, where it all started,” the attacker told Sportweek.

“To end with a round of applause in midfield at the Olympiastadion is my objective.

Boateng: 'I didn't have to think twice'

Kevin-Prince Boateng said he “didn’t have to think twice” about moving from Fiorentina to Besiktas this winter.

The former Ghana international was loaned out to the Turkish club with a performance-based option to make the deal permanent this summer.

The 32-year-old had only spent six months at the Artemio Franchi and played 14 games, contributing one goal in Serie A this term.

Now, he has embarked on a new adventure in Turkey and reveals he has always followed Besiktas.

Boateng signs for Besiktas

Kevin-Prince Boateng has left Fiorentina and signed for Besiktas on loan for the rest of the season.

Boateng signed for the Viola only last summer, but has struggled to nail down a starting place under first Vincenzo Montella and then with Beppe Iachini.

The 32-year-old has been mainly reduced to substitute appearances and scored only once, against Napoli on the opening day of the season.

There were reports this would be a loan with obligation to buy based on appearances, but there is no confirmation of that in either club statement.

Brazilian sides in for Pedro

Flamengo and Gremio have both reportedly joined the race to sign Fiorentina striker Pedro.

Globo Esporte reports Flamengo want to take Pedro on a year-long loan, similar to their deal for Inter forward Gabriel Barbosa.

It comes after a year that saw the Rubro-Negro crowned champions of South America - but not before splashing out on new players and a new coach.

However, the outlet adds they face competition from rivals Gremio, who could capitalise on Fiorentina’s interest in their defender Walter Kannemann.

Report: Besiktas go for Pedro

Besiktas are reportedly keen on signing out-of-favour Fiorentina striker Pedro next month.

According to La Nazione, Besiktas have presented the “most serious” proposal for Pedro so far.

The Turkish club has struggled for goals this season, continuing to rely on veteran and ex-Lecce target Burak Yilmaz.

The 22-year-old Brazilian only joined Fiorentina from Fluminense in September for €11m.

However, he has managed just four substitute appearances for the Viola in Serie A.

'Elneny negotiates with Milan'

Milan are reportedly closing in on signing Arsenal player Mohamed Elneny, as his father has claimed the negotiations have reached "an advanced phase”.

The Egyptian midfielder has been on loan at Besiktas this term and it’s not the first we hear of a link with Milan.

During the summer, he supposedly proposed himself available for a move to the Giuseppe Meazza and now the player’s father has revealed that the Rossoneri are in talks with the former FC Basel player.

Milan not interested in Elneny

According to the latest reports in Italy, Mohamed Elneny offered his services to Milan, but the Rossoneri are unconvinced.

This is not the first time that Elneny has been linked with a move to San Siro, as over the summer he was once again believed to be proposing himself.

Calciomercato.com claim that Elneny and an intermediary suggested he would be an interesting option for the January transfer window.

However, Milan directors Paolo Maldini and Zvonimir Boban are believed to see the 27-year-old Egyptian rather low on the pecking order.
