Tare: ‘Lazio back Inzaghi’

Lazio sporting director Igli Tare calls rumours Coach Simone Inzaghi is under pressure “inventions”.

This season has seen a patchy start, with the Aquile sitting fourth but having lost the Derby della Capitale to Roma and to Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League.

“He’s more and more mature as a Coach,” Tare told La Repubblica when asked about Inzaghi.

Eagle circling the limping Wolf

Lazio's eagles can see their city cousins in trouble and would relish a killer blow in the Derby della Capitale, writes Richard Hall.

An injured wolf is wandering over the hills of Rome, its wounds are superficial, but it needs time to heal. All the time, an eagle circles above, waiting and hoping that the wolf is eventually weak enough so that it can ultimately feast.

Lazio really are looking down on Roma in the Serie A table, and as the Derby Della Capitale approaches this afternoon, they will certainly be hoping that, despite a midweek resurgence from the Giallorossi, they can still deal them a hammer blow that could send their enemy’s season into turmoil.
