Why Milan missed out on Sensi

Stefano Sensi is lighting up Inter with two goals in three Serie A games, but why did he come so close to joining Milan only to back out?

The 24-year-old Italy international is in the form of his life thanks to two goals and two assists in his first three matches in a Nerazzurri jersey.

It means Sensi has already equalled his all-time career personal best Serie A goals tally.

He made the move from Sassuolo on loan for €5m with option to buy for another €20m.

Tudor: 'De Paul was upset'

Udinese Coach Igor Tudor reassured Rodrigo De Paul after a costly red card, but confessed allowing Stefano Sensi a decisive Inter header was disappointing.

The Friulani lost 1-0 at San Siro, as after De Paul was sent off for an off the ball slap on Antonio Candreva’s face, Sensi got in front of Rodrigo Becao to nod in Diego Godin’s cross.

The former Sassuolo midfielder was the shortest man on the pitch, yet his header proved the difference at San Siro this evening.

Fiorentina make their point

It was a result with very different sensations for Fiorentina, Juventus and the Scudetto rivals, writes Giancarlo Rinaldi.

In Florence, not all goalless draws are created equal. A share of the spoils with most teams visiting the Stadio Artemio Franchi might be a source of frustration and regret. Against Juventus, however, and especially after two defeats in a row to start their season, this one was priceless.
