Coppa line-ups: Fiorentina-Atalanta

Patrick Cutrone and Mattia Caldara are given their first starts for Fiorentina and Atalanta in today’s Coppa Italia Round of 16 tie.

It kicks off at 14.00 GMT and the winners go on to face Inter in the Quarter-Finals.

Coach Beppe Iachini launches Cutrone from the start alongside Dusan Vlahovic, just days after the former Milan striker completed his move from Wolves.

Cutrone has already made his debut in a Viola jersey, as a substitute during their 1-0 Serie A victory over SPAL.

Report: Juventus in FFP danger

According to RMC Sport, Juventus are at risk of breaching Financial Fair Play parameters, as their payroll to total revenue ratio is at 71 per cent.

The calculations were made based on a leaked copy of the KPMG financial report on the eight major European league champions, showing Juve are the only ones running at a loss.

The report also suggests “the net results for the 2019-20 season will also be revised negatively.”

Nainggolan: 'Difficult period expected'

Radja Nainggolan says Cagliari’s period of difficulty was to be expected, and that he has no problems with Inter boss Antonio Conte. “He was a man.”

The Rossoblu have lost each of their last five games in all competitions, including last night's 4-1 defeat to Inter in the Coppa Italia, and Nainggolan believes that their purple patch was never going to last forever.

Inter to finalise Giroud tomorrow

Reports in France claim Olivier Giroud’s agent will be in Milan tomorrow to finalise the Chelsea striker’s transfer to Inter for €4.5m plus bonuses.

Sky Sport Italia already stated last night that the medical would be done by the weekend, but RMC Sport believe it’ll be even faster than that.

They suggest agent Michael Manuello will be in Milan on Thursday to conclude the transfer and work out the final details of the two-and-a-half-year contract.

Murillo quits Samp for Celta Vigo

Valencia's on loan Sampdoria defender Jeison Murillo is set to join Spanish outfit Celta Vigo, after pulling out of a move to Galatasarary.

According to Calciomercato.com, the Colombian was close to agreeing a deal to move to the Turkish giants.

However the website states that the former Inter player got cold feet concerning the move due to the unstable political climate in the country.

Therefore Murillo pulled out of the move, and is instead signing for La Liga side Celta Vigo.

Report: Inter raise Eriksen offer

Inter have presented a new offer of €15m for Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen, in an attempt to stave off competition from French side PSG.

The two sides have been locked in talks over the Denmark international for a number of days, and it appears personal terms have been agreed between the Nerazzurri and Eriksen.

The Italian side would like the midfielder now, and initially offered the Premier League side €10m, according to Sky Sport Italia.

Politano and Spinazzola have medicals

Matteo Politano and Leonardo Spinazzola are undergoing their medicals this morning, as they exchange places at Inter and Roma.

The deal was finalised yesterday and the two players flew in this morning for their tests.

Winger Politano will effectively be the replacement at Roma for Nicolò Zaniolo, who has been ruled out for five to six months by a serious knee injury.

Borja Valero: 'Inter physically best'

Borja Valero has claimed Inter are now reaping the rewards from the “physically tough” regime of Antonio Conte.

The Spanish midfielder insisted that the Nerazzurri are “physically the best team” and has conceded that the coach is the one who works the hardest.

“Conte is very physically demanding,” Borja Valero told Sky Sport Italia. “We work hard to achieve our goals on the pitch.

“I think we are physically the best team and you can tell from our performance on the pitch.”

Conte: 'Excellent response'

Antonio Conte was happy with “an excellent response” from Inter after beating Cagliari 4-1 in the last 16 of the Coppa Italia.

Inter were held to a draw against Atalanta in Serie A last weekend and Juventus pulled clear at the top of the League.

On Tuesday, the Nerazzurri answered in a convincing manner to give Conte some “positive feedback” from the players who have been out injured during the last few months.
