Inter announce CL squad

Inter have announced their 23-man squad for the 2019-20 Champions League group stage.

There are no surprises in the squad, with Antonio Conte leaving only teenage midfielder Lucien Agoume out of his summer signings.

Alexis Sanchez is presented as No 7 for the first time, while Federico Dimarco keeps No 21 as opposed to taking back 11.

Veteran goalkeeper Tommaso Berni is the only first-team player not included, although he is third choice behind Samir Handanovic and Daniele Padelli.

FIGC to investigate Lukaku chants

The FIGC has announced that it will investigate the racial abuse suffered by Inter striker Romelu Lukaku at the hands of Cagliari fans.

Cagliari supporters made monkey noises as Lukaku went up to take a penalty during Inter’s 2-1 win in Sardinia on Sunday evening.

Now, the FIGC’s Giudice Sportivo has confirmed that it will look into the incident, requesting information from those in charge of public order at the Sardegna Arena.

Alexis: Inter share my desire

Alexis Sanchez says he joined Inter because they share his desire to ‘win lots of trophies’.

Sanchez failed to win any silverware at Manchester United but remains one of Serie A’s most successful exports, having lifted two Copa Americas with Chile, League titles in South America, six trophies with Barcelona and two FA Cups with Arsenal.

“I still have the same desire to win and love for the game. I love this game and I want to be happy,” he told Inter TV.

Alexis Sanchez has insisted that ‘I don’t regret’ joining Manchester United after being confirmed as Inter’s new No 7.

Official: Icardi joins PSG on loan

Mauro Icardi has formally completed his loan move to Paris Saint-Germain, with option to buy from Inter for a reported €70m. "I thank PSG for the confidence shown in me."

Report: Icardi has signed for PSG

There are reports Mauro Icardi has completed his move to Paris Saint-Germain on loan with option to buy, having first extended his Inter contract.

The new deal to 2022 with the Nerazzurri was an essential step, as it was due to expire in June 2021 and that would’ve left them at risk of losing him as a free agent.

After that was worked out in an overnight summit, he flew out with Wanda Nara in a private jet from Milan to Paris.
