Inter will sign five players, jokes Moratti

Inter President Massimo Moratti has joked that he will sign five new players now that Rafa Benitez has gone.

Benitez's contract was terminated by mutual consent before Christmas.

The former Liverpool manager made Moratti an ultimatum after winning the Club World Cup, demanding that Inter sign four or five new players in the January transfer window.

"From all of us, a thank you goes out to Benitez for having brought back the Club World Cup," Moratti said.

Inter to swap Santon for Zaccardo?

Inter are thinking about offering Davide Santon in exchange for Parma defender Cristian Zaccardo, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

A series of injuries have left Inter short of options at the back, although the arrival of Andrea Ranocchia from Genoa has gone some way to alleviating their concerns.

Nonetheless, Inter don't want to be caught out again in the second half of the season, especially considering Walter Samuel's serious knee injury.
