Moratti: 'Mourinho is the best'

Inter President Massimo Moratti claims Jose Mourinho is the best Coach he has ever had at the club.

Mourinho left last summer after just two years at San Siro. He won the treble in his final season.

"I am sorry that in Italy Mourinho wasn't prized. I have had many Coaches but he was the best," Moratti said.

"But this doesn't mean that he will return to Inter.

"Mourinho is a Coach who works a lot. He is among the most serious and most respected people in football that I know.

Guidolin: 'We can hurt Inter'

Udinese have stunned Milan and Genoa in the last two weeks, so Francesco Guidolin is confident “we have what it takes to hurt Inter.”

The Friulani are on blistering form at the moment, drawing 4-4 at San Siro with Milan before a 4-2 victory at Marassi.

“Our opponents are of an immense level, but we are aware that we're a good squad and want to bring out a strong performance,” said the Coach.

Moratti: 'Rather Leo than Mourinho'

President Massimo Moratti is very impressed with Leonardo and has “no intention of changing Coach,” even if Jose Mourinho returned.

As he is finding life difficult at Real Madrid, there are increasing reports Mou could walk away in the summer and seek a second spell at San Siro.

“I don't know. I must say that Mourinho is a professional and I think he'll want to do well at Real Madrid,” said Moratti on RAI television programme Dribbling.

Line-ups: Nerazzurri face Friuli test

It's Alexis Sanchez and Antonio Di Natale against Samuel Eto'o and Goran Pandev, as Udinese welcome Inter in the lunchtime kick-off.

The 11.30 UK time start at the Stadio Friuli should be a highly entertaining encounter, as both sides have been banging in the goals in 2011.

Leonardo aims to maintain his 100 per cent record since taking over from Rafa Benitez, but is still without Julio Cesar, Wesley Sneijder, Coutinho, Diego Milito and Walter Samuel.

Pandev is therefore picked to partner Eto'o with support from Dejan Stankovic.

Leonardo gives credit to Udinese

Leonardo gave credit to Udinese for a fine performance, but “this defeat does not change my football philosophy.”

Inter had a 100 per cent record in all competition since the Coach took over from Rafa Benitez during the Christmas break.

That came grinding to a halt with today's 3-1 loss at the Stadio Friuli, despite Dejan Stankovic originally opening the scoring.

“It's true there were some counter-attacks and I think much of today's result should be credited to Udinese,” said Leo.

Maicon: 'All change under Leonardo'

Douglas Maicon maintains “things have changed a lot” since Leonardo arrived at Inter and hints Rafa Benitez “did something the directors didn't like.”

The Nerazzurri have won all five official games under their new Coach and their performances vastly improved.

“Since Leonardo arrived, things have changed a lot around here. The atmosphere's great,” Maicon told FIFA.com.

“He's been able to get his ideas across already, despite not being here long, and everyone has grasped what he's said.

Leonardo: 'Udinese our toughest test'

Leonardo believes Sunday's clash with on-form Udinese represents “the toughest test” of his Inter yet.

The Coach has won all five games under his tenure between Serie A and the Coppa Italia, but the Friulani held leaders Milan to a 4-4 draw at San Siro and won 4-2 in Genoa.

“We will be facing players in great shape, who are getting excellent results and we must be very careful,” noted Leo.

“Alexis Sanchez and Antonio Di Natale form a very interesting partnership that is extremely difficult to defend against.

Muntari set for Sunderland move

Sulley Ali Muntari looks set for a return to the Premier League with Sunderland, after he was considered surplus to requirements at Inter.

The midfielder has barely featured this season, especially after he showed obvious irritation at his substitution earlier this month.

It was confirmed by the club hierarchy that Muntari would be released if a suitable offer came in.

The likes of Tottenham and Sevilla had been suggested, but according to the latest reports from Italy, he will join Sunderland.

Sneijder believes in comeback

Inter's chief playmaker Wesley Sneijder has every confidence that his side can launch a successful comeback and win the Scudetto again.

The Nerazzurri were seventh at New Year, but a run of four wins in a row in Serie A has lifted Leonardo's team to fourth, just six points behind League leaders Milan with a game in hand.

Asked if Inter can realistically be thinking about winning the title, Sneijder said: "Yes, sure.

"Sure we believe. Inter can still win the Scudetto.

Ganso encourages Inter attention

Ganso, the 21-year-old Brazilian starlet, claims Inter hold him in higher esteem than his current club Santos.

The talented playmaker has recovered from a serious knee injury that he suffered in August and feels unappreciated despite the attention that surrounds him.

Ganso has scored 23 goals in 97 games for Santos and would like a pay increase.

It's no secret that Inter would like to bring the Brazil international to San Siro.
