Biraghi to Inter for Politano and Dimarco

Inter are expected to bring in Cristiano Biraghi on loan with option to buy, with Matteo Politano and Federico Dimarco joining Fiorentina.

According to Sportmediaset, the deal is practically done and just awaiting medicals.

Originally, the plan had been for Inter to hand over cash plus Dalbert, but the French full-back rejected the move and is now leaning towards a return to his old club Nice instead.

Biraghi is Antonio Conte’s first choice to reinforce the left side of defence, while he can also be pushed into a more advanced role.

Chelsea continue Conte battle

Inter Coach Antonio Conte is still in a legal battle with Chelsea over his £9m severance package, with reports of another appeal.

The Italian tactician was sacked last summer to make way for Maurizio Sarri and the club claimed it was not due to pay any compensation.

That was because his text to striker Diego Costa confirming he was not part of the plans was considered to be damaging to the club and worthy of dismissal.

Conte contested that and won in May, with a Premier League tribunal ordering them to pay Conte £9m.

Icardi still has Inter hope?

Mauro Icardi is reportedly confident that Inter will bring him back into the fold if they cannot sign Edin Dzeko from Roma.

Antonio Conte has so far refused to give Icardi a second chance after the striker went in self-imposed exile last season following the club’s decision to strip him of the captaincy.

In the meantime, the Nerazzurri have brought in Romelu Lukaku to wear their No 9 shirt and are also working on a deal for Dzeko.
