Guidolin: ‘I rejected Napoli twice’

Former Palermo and Udinese Coach Francesco Guidolin reveals he rejected Napoli twice.

The tactician left the Zebrette at the end of the 2013-14 season, and has yet to get another bench role.

“I turned down the Napoli bench twice,” Guidolin explained to Radio Crc.

“On the second occasion I was wrong. The first time we [Udinese] had just reached the Champions League and I didn’t want to leave the team.

Guidolin: 'Back to work!'

Francesco Guidolin is eager to get back to coaching after a year consulting Udinese. “I still feel young.”

The 59-year-old tactician retired from management last summer, stating he found the profession too stressful, but 12 months out have changed his mind.

“I still feel young, I recharged my batteries and want to get back to coaching,” Guidolin told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Guidolin: 'No Verona talks'

Francesco Guidolin denied rumours he’ll come out of retirement to replace Andrea Mandorlini at Verona.

The former Udinese Coach took a step back over the summer and has joined the directorial staff at the Stadio Friuli.
