Mazzarri: 'Ignoring Inter past'

Torino boss Walter Mazzarri says he is ignoring his Inter past ahead of facing them in Serie A tomorrow.

Mazzarri coached Inter between May 2013 and November 2014 but with little success as a fifth-placed finish was followed by the sack months later.

Nonetheless, he asserted at a press conference: "I'm not thinking about the past, I'm thinking about facing Inter, one of the best teams in the League.

"When you face the second-best team in the League, you are subconsciously fired up more than usual."

Toro charge towards Europe

But for Torino, it represents a significant upswing in fortunes. This windfall sets the Granata up to continue building on the strong work they've done in recent seasons.
