Ferrero: 'Soriano, be like Florenzi'

Sampdoria President Massimo Ferrero reportedly told his star midfielder Roberto Soriano to take Roma's Alessandro Florenzi as his model.

Soriano was sought after by several top teams last summer and came inches from a new contract with Napoli.

Currently the player has signed an extension with the Blucerchiati, and will be with them until 2020, with a higher salary and purchase clause.

According to La Gazzetta Sportiva, Ferrero approached Soriano the day after Roma-Barcelona 1-1, and told him specifically: “You must be our Florenzi.”
