Verona keep faith in Pecchia

Verona have officially confirmed that the squad will be in ritiro and won't speak to the media, but Fabio Pecchia stays as Coach.

The Butei lost 3-0 to Crotone at the weekend, prompting protests from fans and speculation the tactician would be sacked.

However, the team will instead be put into a punitive training camp ahead of the trip to Fiorentina.

Both teams finished the game with 10 men at the Sardegna Arena, as Ricardo Rodriguez and Nicolò Barella received double bookings.

“It was a very complicated match. Milan did well in the first half and we nonetheless managed to score a goal,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.

De Zerbi: 'Benevento can survive'

Benevento boss Roberto De Zerbi believes they can avoid relegation, “but it doesn’t only depend on us now.”

Things seem to have taken a turn with two consecutive victories and they visit Bologna on Sunday afternoon.

“We have done nothing yet and must continue to take it one game at a time,” De Zerbi told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
