Juve make €39.9m loss, but...

Juventus have posted a loss of €39.9m for the 2018-19 budget but aim to raise €300m through an increase in share capital.

Juve’s shareholders approved the budget and increase in share capital at their annual meeting on Thursday, with President Andrea Agnelli reiterating his confidence in the club’s operations.

Agnelli: Juve think bigger than Italy

Andrea Agnelli admits being the best in Italy is no longer enough for Juventus and claims Cristiano Ronaldo “deserves” to win the Ballon d’Or.

Agnelli was speaking at Juve’s annual shareholders’ meeting for 2019, where he confirmed plans to raise €300m through an increase in share capital.

“Today, we ask you, the Shareholders to approve a €300m capital increase for our 2019/2024 development plan,” he began, reports the club’s official Twitter account.

New Inter Coach Antonio Conte “wanted a return to Juventus, but the Agnelli family put a veto on it,” claims FIFA Council member Evelina Christillin.

Juve petition to 'cancel' Conte

Over 15,000 Juventus fans have signed a petition calling for Antonio Conte’s ‘star’ in the stadium to be revoked and handed to Claudio Marchisio.

The call had already started the moment Conte took the Inter job, but has gained momentum ahead of tomorrow night’s Derby d’Italia at San Siro.

Conte represented Juve in their most successful periods as both player and Coach, but his decision to join arch-rivals Inter is considered a ‘betrayal’ by those who signed the petition.

Agnelli: 'Ultras blackmailed Juve'

Juventus President Andrea Agnelli testified that ultras were blackmailing the club with the threat of insulting chants that would generate fines.

The arrest of 12 ultras leaders this week caused controversy, but the details of the investigation are beginning to emerge.

According to the Corriere della Sera, Agnelli testified with a sworn deposition that the organised fan groups had become increasingly aggressive in their demands for free tickets and other extras.

Agnelli: 'More FFP transparency'

Juventus President Andrea Agnelli said “something has to change” in UEFA investigation of Financial Fair Play. “We want more transparency” and faster results.

The Bianconeri patron and Inter President Steven Zhang were speaking at a panel at the prestigious Bocconi university in Milan, titled ‘Financial Fair Play: does it matter?’

“When you think about the health of a club, you consider its economic prospects,” said Agnelli.

Juve ultras boycott Madrid game

Juventus ultras are abandoning the Champions League trip to Atletico Madrid in protest at recent arrests of group leaders.

The Bianconeri begin their tournament tomorrow evening at the Wanda Metropolitano, but won’t have as many fans attending as expected.

According to Tuttosport, those ultras who had bought tickets to the away fixture have decided to stay home and give up on the expensive journey as part of their protest against the club.

Agnelli: Juve blackmailed by ultras
