Herrera offered to Milan

It’s reported Hector Herrera was offered to Milan for next season, but the Rossoneri aren’t particularly interested in the Porto midfielder.

Herrera has been linked with various Serie A clubs before, most notably Napoli and Juventus.

According to Tuttosport newspaper and other sources in Portugal, representatives have contacted Milan to suggest Herrera as an option for next term.

The Mexico international’s contract is due to expire in June 2019 and his price-tag is valued at around €20m.

Porto set €40m Herrera tag

Napoli, Juventus and Liverpool are on high alert after FC Porto reportedly set a €40m price-tag on Hector Herrera.

The Mexico international has been on Napoli’s wish-list for almost a year.

He was also considered as a reinforcement for Juve’s midfield over the summer.

According to Portuguese paper A Bola, Porto have decided to set an asking price of €40m for Herrera and will not negotiate under that sum.

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are also believed to be interested.

Sissoko next on Juventus list

Juventus are pushing for Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko after PSG slammed the door on Blaise Matuidi, but there are other options.

This evening Paris Saint-Germain patron Nasser Al-Khelaifi told Le Parisien that Matuidi “will not be leaving and in fact will extend his contract. He remains an icon for our club.”

The Bianconeri must now turn elsewhere for a Paul Pogba replacement only days away from the transfer deadline on August 31.

Roma fight Napoli for Herrera

Roma are considering a swoop for Napoli transfer target Hector Herrera, according to A Bola.

The Portuguese paper claims Porto FC star Herrera has caught the eye of more than one Serie A club.

A Mexico international, he has been the subject of negotiations for several weeks and Napoli Coach Maurizio Sarri said he prefers him “by a mile” to Axel Witsel.

The Partenopei so far failed to agree terms with Porto, who want €30m and not a penny less for Herrera.
