Serie A: Nine players given bans

Juventus winger Federico Bernardeschi and Sassuolo forward Domenico Berardi are among the nine Serie A players given one-match bans.

Berardi and Bernardeschi were both booked during the 3-3 draw between Sassuolo and Juventus yesterday.

The disciplinary commission confirmed this afternoon they would be suspended for the next round of fixtures, along with Neroverdi pair Mehdi Bourabia and Francesco Magnanelli, Parma duo Matteo Darmian and Alberto Grassi, Napoli’s Giovanni Di Lorenzo, Cagliari’s Artur Ionita and Udinese’s Stefano Okaka.

Veloso celebrated Verona's team effort

A decisive Miguel Veloso was quick to praise Hellas Verona’s team effort as they held Inter to 2-2 on Thursday night. ‘It’s a victory of the group’.

The Portuguese midfielder scored with a neat finish from the edge of the area to help Verona grab a point at home against the Nerazzurri, who squandered their comeback at the Bentegodi.

Official: Verona sign Veloso until 2021

Hellas Verona have officially extended Miguel Veloso’s contract at the Bentegodi until June 2021.

The Portuguese 34-year-old has signed for another season with the Scaglieri, after having played an important role during an impressive season at the Bentegodi.

“Hellas Verona FC are pleased to announce the extension of Miguel Veloso’s contract, who has signed with the Gialloblu for the next season, 2020-21,” the club wrote in a statement.

Veloso set for new Verona contract

Miguel Veloso has reportedly agreed a new contract with Hellas Verona to remain until June 2021 with option for another year.

The midfielder turns 34 on Monday and has found a new lease of life at the Stadio Bentegodi, having joined from Genoa as a free agent last summer.

He contributed two goals and five assists in 22 competitive appearances for the club this season.

Veloso had only signed a one-year contract, but the Corriere di Verona newspaper claims he has now worked out the final details for a new deal.

Official: Verona sign Veloso

Hellas Verona have officially signed Miguel Veloso to a one-year contract, as he was a free agent after his Genoa experience.

The 33-year-old Portuguese midfielder has reunited with former Genoa Coach Ivan Juric at the Stadio Bentegodi.

He has over 100 Serie A appearances under his belt for Genoa, having also played for Sporting CP and Dynamo Kiev.

Veloso signed a contract with newly-promoted Verona to June 2020.

Veloso heading for Verona

Former Genoa midfielder Miguel Veloso is expected to join Coach Ivan Juric at newly-promoted Hellas Verona.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Veloso will reunite with ex-Genoa boss Juric at the Stadio Bentegodi.

The 33-year-old Portuguese player is currently out of contract and will be a free agent, signing a one-year deal.

Hellas Verona are also bringing in Salvatore Bocchetti from Spartak Moscow on a free transfer.
