Cesena President's last hope

Cesena President Giorgio Lugaresi believes a victory against Atalanta tonight is essential to maintain hopes of safety.

Donadoni: 'Parma paradox'

Roberto Donadoni hailed Parma’s positive return with a point against Atalanta, but “it’s a paradoxical situation.”

Their last two games had been called off due to the financial crisis which left the club on the verge of bankruptcy.

Nobody has been paid since July 2014, but the squad played out a 0-0 draw with Atalanta at the Stadio Tardini.

Cesena: ‘We won’t save Parma’

Cesena President Giorgio Lugaresi says his club will not be part of any effort to save crisis-hit Parma.

There are real fears that the Ducali will not make it to the end of the season, with one possible plan being for the other Serie A clubs to help fund them.

However, the Cavallucci Marini patron warns that his club will not be part of any such plan.

“We’re in favour of Parma completing the season,” Lugaresi explained to Tuttomercatoweb.

Parma players 'could pay own costs'

Parma players offered to “pay our own costs to play games,” but only if the employees are protected, while another plan is destined to fail.

The Ducali saw their match against Udinese called off on Sunday because the club didn’t have the money to pay for stewards at the Stadio Tardini.

FIGC President Carlo Tavecchio said today Parma will play the away game at Genoa, but captain Alessandro Lucarelli told Sky Sport Italia that’s not certain.

Cesena: 'How is Parma crisis possible?'

Official: Cesena sack Bisoli

Cesena have confirmed that they have sacked Pierpaolo Bisoli as Coach, ahead of the expected appointment of Davide Ballardini.

Having failed to win a League game since the opening day of the season, the Cavallucci Marini’s 3-2 defeat this weekend to Atalanta was seen to have prompted the club to take action.

On from rumours this morning, they have confirmed that Bisoli has now been removed from his position on the bench, after eight points collected from the opening 14 rounds of Serie A.

Cesena: Bisoli out, Ballardini in

Cesena are reportedly on the verge of sacking Pierpaolo Bisoli and replacing him with Davide Ballardini.

The Cavallucci Marini’s 3-2 defeat to Atalanta at the weekend worsened their start to the season to make it just the one win from the opening 14 rounds.

Sat 19th in the table and already three points adrift of safety, the club are seen to have made a decision overnight to remove Bisoli as Coach, and are reportedly meeting to determine his exit today.
