Napoli to sell Callejon now

Napoli are working on selling winger Jose Callejon immediately, once Matteo Politano’s deal is wrapped up, however the player's agent states that he will stay until the end of the season.

The Inter winger has landed in Naples to undergo his medical with the Partenopei ahead of his €25m move.

Tuttosport claims that Napoli are now working on moving Callejon on as opposed to letting him leave for free at the end of the season.

Castillejo heading back to Spain

Espanyol and Atletico Madrid are in the running for Milan winger Samu Castillejo, claims Spanish site Diario Sport.

He turns 25 later this month and cost €21.3m in his move from Villarreal in the summer of 2018.

Playing time has been hard to come by, especially this season, with only eight Serie A appearances, half of them off the bench.

According to the Spanish reports, Espanyol are the favourites to take Castillejo on loan until the end of the season.

Inter opponents Ludogorets sack coach

Inter’s Europa League Round of 32 opponents Ludogorets have sacked their coach Aleksi Zhelyazkov, bringing in Pavel Vrba.

Zhelyazkov had only been in the job since October, when he replaced Stanislav Genchev, who in turn had taken over from Stoycho Stoev in late August.

The Bulgarian club have announced that Pavel Vrba will take charge of the side from January 1.

Zhelyazkov secured the club’s passage into the last 32 of the Europa League, finishing second in a group containing Espanyol, CSKA Moscow and Ferencvaros.

Pau Lopez: 'Roma a step up for me'

Pau Lopez said Roma represented a “step up” in his career and it was worth taking a pay cut, even if he is being worked hard by his new coach Paulo Fonseca.

The 24-year-old goalkeeper is currently on international duty with Spain, but said the €23m move from Real Betis to Roma has presented him with a tougher daily routine at the training ground.

“Perhaps we train harder in Italy,” he told AS about his new life in the Italian capital. “In Rome I have a Portuguese coach, Paulo Fonseca, who works hard.”

Espanyol offer for Andre Silva

Espanyol are the latest club to track Milan striker Andre Silva, with a reported €25m proposal on the table.

The Rossoneri are eager to sell the Portugal international, who spent last season on loan at Sevilla, but they did not take up their option to buy.

He had a medical at Monaco, then the deal collapsed at the last minute when the Ligue 1 side pulled out.

Now La Gazzetta dello Sport claim Espanyol have approached Milan for Andre Silva, as the 23-year-old is the subject of a €25m offer.

Sassuolo 'fail in Leo Baptistao bid'

Sassuolo have reportedly failed with a bid to sign Espanyol forward Leo Baptistao.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Baptistao was Sassuolo’s ‘first choice’ to replace Kevin-Prince Boateng, as opposed to the likes of Mario Balotelli and Gianluca Caprari.

However, the broadcaster warns ‘there were no grounds for negotiations to move forward’.

Sport also writes that while the 26-year-old has scored just one goal this season, he remains in Espanyol’s first-team plans.

“I’m not closing the door, it’s up to the clubs and it doesn’t depend on me,” Sanchez pointed out in an interview with Marca.
