France Football has confirmed that the Ballon d’Or 2020 will not be assigned. ‘The winners of last year’s edition will have no successors’.
France Football set up the award in 1956 and announced through their chief editor Pascal Ferré that the 2020 edition will not be assigned.
“For the first time in its history, which began in 1965, the Ballon d’Or will not be awarded in 2020,” he explained through the French outlet. “Due to the lack of sufficient fair conditions.”
