SPAL find new sporting director?

SPAL are set to appoint former Frosinone man Marco Giannitti as their new sporting director, reports Sportitalia.

SPAL are in need of a new SD after Davide Vagnati left, seemingly to fill the same role for Torino.

Now, Sportitalia is claiming Giannitti is ‘on the verge’ of agreeing a deal to succeed Vagnati.

The 48-year-old is best known for his spell with Frosinone between June 2013 and April 2019.

During his tenure, he helped build two teams who won promotion to Serie A for the first time in the club’s history.
