New Udinese deal for Karnezis

Udinese goalkeeper Orestis Karnezis has signed a new contract until June 2019 with the Friuli outfit.

The Greece international established himself last season under Andrea Stramaccioni, making 37 league appearances for the Zebrette.

Udinese announced the renewal today with a statement on their official website.

Roma target Handanovic

There are reports that Roma are lining up a bid for Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic as they look to replace Morgan De Sanctis.

The Slovenian international’s future at San Siro has been under question for most of the season and Giallorosso sporting director Walter Sabatini is believed to be ready to pounce.

Il Messaggero has reported that Roma are tracking Handanovic as the club do not want to trust 38-year-old De Sanctis with the No 1 spot for another season.

Serie A Team of Week 13

Following an extended weekend in Serie A and some superb goals from defenders Dave Taylor selects his best XI for Week 13.

Orestis Karnezis [Udinese]
