Cagliari defender Diego Godin said Uruguay ‘respected all protocols’ during the national break, whilst Atletico Madrid forward Luis Suarez has apologised for ‘letting their guard down’.

Godin returned to Cagliari positive for coronavirus and the cases in the Uruguay squad has increased daily since the World Cup qualifiers against Colombia and Brazil.

Atletico Madrid loanee Alvaro Morata has said ‘the continuity’ at Juventus can help him become the main man at Spain. ‘I can be that missing striker’.

Spanish comeback for Castillejo?

Samu Castillejo has fallen down the pecking order at Milan and Spanish reports suggest he could go to Atletico Madrid or Sevilla.

The 25-year-old right-sided winger made the move from Villarreal to San Siro for €21.3m in the summer of 2018.
