Suarez reveals truth about Italian citizenship test

Luis Suarez reveals he wanted to take an Italian citizenship test regardless of the interest from Juventus.

The Atletico Madrid forward received a B1 passing grade on his oral exam at the University for Foreigners in Perugia this past September, but the Italian ‘Guardia di Finanza’ found out the striker new all the questions before the exam took place.

Suarez was playing for Barcelona at that time and Juventus were in talks to sign him.

Arsenal the likely destination for Eriksen?

Inter midfielder Christian Eriksen continues to be linked with a move back to England and Tuttosport claims he’s closer to Arsenal than Leicester.

The newspaper points out the cost of the operation has stalled the talks with Leicester City, with the Denmark international currently on a €7.5m-a-year salary at the Nerazzurri.

The report claims the deal could increase to €10m with bonuses but Inter are currently looking for ways to offload the former Tottenham player.

Inter consider Eriksen-Torreira swap?

According to Tuttosport, Inter are considering a swap deal between Christian Eriksen and Lucas Torreira.

The Turin-based paper claims the Nerazzurri need to sign a back-up for Marcelo Brozovic and are considering a move for the Arsenal loanee who joined Atletico Madrid on a temporary deal last summer.

Torreira, a former Sampdoria midfielder, has also been linked with Fiorentina and Torino.

Suarez case: The Minister's role and Paratici's late request

Minister of Transport Paola De Micheli reportedly tried to 'accelerate' the Luis Suarez citizenship process, as Juventus director Fabio Paratici agreed terms with the player before knowing about his lack of a European passport.

Corriere della Sera reports how the Perugia Prosecutors are reconstructing the Suarez case, as the Uruguayan was on the verge of signing with Juventus last summer.

The newspaper reveals sporting director Paratici found out about the lack of a European citizenship after he had reached an agreement worth €10m with the player.

Milan negotiate with Mandzukic

Milan directors Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara are reportedly discussing terms with former Juventus forward Mario Mandzukic's representatives.

Calciomercato.com reports the technical director Maldini and sporting director Massara are in talks with the former Croatia international.

Milan are considering giving coach Stefano Pioli another alternative to veteran Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the report reveals the negotiation has already started.

‘Napoli want to lose Milik for free’

Fabrizio De Vecchi, an intermediary who is negotiating Milik’s Napoli exit says the Partenopei seem willing to lose the striker for free despite offers from Premier League, Atletico and Marseille. 

Milik runs out of his Napoli contract this coming June and Napoli have left him out of their Serie A and Europa League squad lists as the player does not want to sign a contract extension.

“Arek has thought about his future for long time,” De Vecchi told AS.

Leeds linked with Fiorentina duo

Fiorentina ‘dream of signing’ Papu Gomez and Lucas Torreira, while Leeds are interested in Erick Pulgar and Valentin Eysseric, according to reports in Italy.

La Viola are expected to have a busy transfer window in January.

They have already terminated Patrick Cutrone’s loan while Riccardo Saponara has joined Spezia.

Napoli reject latest Milik offers

Multiple reports suggest Napoli have rejected Atletico Madrid and Olympique Marseille offers for Arkadiusz Milik, while the striker doesn't want Fiorentina.

The Partenopei want at least €15m to sell the striker, who will be a free agent when his contract expires on June 30.

According to Calciomercato.it, RMC Sport and Spanish newspaper AS, Napoli informed Milik’s entourage that the proposals were turned down for being too low.

Costa, Depay and Origi on Juve radar

Diego Costa, Memphis Depay and Divock Origi have been mentioned as possible Juventus targets in January by Tuttosport.

Atletico Madrid interest in Milik growing

Reports are growing in Spain and Italy that Atletico Madrid see Napoli forward Arkadiusz Milik as the ideal replacement for Diego Costa.

It’s claimed Costa is looking for a January contract termination by mutual consent so that he can return to South America for personal reasons.

Milik is increasingly seen as the first choice to bring in as his replacement, with AS, Mundo Deportivo and Marca all pointing to the Poland international.
