UEFA agreement for nine of 12 Super League clubs

UEFA has approved ‘reintegration measures’ for nine out of 12 Super League clubs, excluding Juventus, Real Madrid and Barcelona.

After an Emergency Panel discussed the possible sanctions of the Super League clubs, UEFA has released an official statement confirming nine clubs have submitted a ‘Club Commitment Declaration’.

Scuffet to start in Serie A after 925 days

With Juan Musso suspended against Juventus, Udinese turn to former teenage sensation Simone Scuffet for his first Serie A start in 925 days.

The goalkeeper was considered the new Gigi Buffon when he made his debut aged just 17 years and eight months in Udinese’s 2-0 win away to Bologna in February 2014.

His name was all over the papers and the then-teenager famously turned down a move to Atletico Madrid.

He never quite flourished, with loan spells at Como, Spezia and Turkish club Kasimpasa before returning to base for the 2020-21 season.

Agnelli 'didn't know' about Suarez's exam

Juventus President Andrea Agnelli claims he didn't know about Luis Suarez's Italian citizenship exam: 'Fabio Paratici was in charge of the deal.'

The Serie A giants were in talks to sign the former Barcelona forward last summer but Suarez needed to obtain Italian citizenship as Juventus had already filled their spots for non-EU players.

Suarez did take the exam at the University of Perugia, but it emerged he had known the questions in advance.

Super League reportedly suspended after exodus

According to Sky Sport Italia, the Super League project has been suspended after the six English clubs formally pulled out.

Of the initial 12 founding clubs who announced the project 48 hours ago, half of them have backed out already.

Manchester City were the first to fall, followed by almost simultaneous statements from Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea.

Milan ready to wait for Belotti?

Torino captain Andrea Belotti’s contract expires in 2022 and Tuttosport claims Milan are prepared to wait for a free transfer next year.

The Rossoneri are linked with the Italy international, who has yet to renew his contract with the Granata.

The captain’s deal expires in June 2022 and the newspaper claims Milan are in pole position to sign the 27-year-old.

But Belotti has scored 12 goals in 27 games for relegation-threatened Toro this term and has attracted interest from teams like Atletico Madrid, Chelsea and Everton abroad.

Juventus reconsider Morata option

According to reports in both Italy and Spain, Juventus could send Alvaro Morata back to Atletico Madrid just one year into his loan spell.

The 28-year-old arrived this season on a loan deal worth €10m, with an option to purchase for €45m in 2021.

There is also another option allowing them to extend the loan for another €10m this summer, and the option to buy would then be worth €35m in 2022.

Godin reveals Simeone’s threat
