Balotelli out for 10 days

Mario Balotelli will be out for at least 10 days, while Mattia De Sciglio’s ankle injury requires more tests.

Blunt trauma for Balotelli

Mario Balotelli is set for tests today by Milan medical staff on a shoulder injury picked up against Atletico Madrid.

The forward fell heavily on his right shoulder after a challenge by Diego Costa during the second half of the Rossoneri’s 1-0 defeat to Atleti in the Champions League Last 16 first leg.

Balotelli soon had to be replaced due to the complaint and post-match, initial indications are that he has suffered a blunt trauma to the shoulder.

Tests on De Sciglio ankle

Milan full-back Mattia De Sciglio has suffered a suspected bruised and sprained ankle from a challenge by Atletico Madrid’s Emiliano Insua.

The Argentine caught his opponent with a heavy tackle during the first half of Milan’s Champions League Last 16 first leg defeat to Los Colchoneros.
