Juve want €45m Aguero, admit Atletico

Atletico Madrid have confirmed that Juventus want Sergio Aguero – but they've warned the Italians that he will cost €45m.

Speaking to Radio Marca, Atletico chief Miguel Angel Gil Marin rejected claims that Real Madrid wanted the player by revealing that Juve have come forward.

"I have received no offer from Real Madrid and [President] Florentino Perez has assured me that they are not interested in the player," Marin noted.

Sergio Aguero invites Roma bid

Juventus have made a formal offer for Sergio Aguero, but his agent warns “Roma are ambitious and could come in for him.”

The €45m-rated striker, nicknamed Kun, has told Atletico Madrid he'd like a transfer and the club confirmed it had received a fax from Juve.

“At the moment we can't rule out any destination for Aguero,” agent Bruno Satin told lasignoraingiallorosso.

Juve target Aguero: I want transfer

Juventus are again being linked with a move for Sergio Aguero after the latter announced his desire to leave Atletico Madrid.

"I said that when I wanted to go, I would say so publicly. And the time has come," the Argentine said on his website.

"So I keep to my word and here I am. I find it hard to leave Atletico. It hurts and saddens me.

"I've thought long and hard and I am convinced that I must be true to myself. I do not think I put a ceiling on the ability to keep learning, to keep growing.

Sergio Aguero agent visits Juve

Newspapers in Italy and Spain are buzzing after Sergio Aguero's agent was spotted in a meeting at Juventus headquarters today.

Representative Jose Segui and his two assistants are in Turin this afternoon for a reported meeting with director general Beppe Marotta and President Andrea Agnelli.

The Atletico Madrid striker has long been linked with Juve, who are looking to make heavy investments for next season.

It should also be noted that Segui is the agent of Momo Sissoko, who is set to leave the Bianconeri in the summer.

Aguero happy in Madrid

Sergio Aguero has silenced the transfer links with Juventus by committing his future to Atletico Madrid.

The Argentina international was associated with the Old Lady last week following reports that Juve could have as much as €100m to spend on new players.

However, the forward has distanced himself from whispers that he could be on the verge of a switch to Serie A.

"I want to stay in Madrid," he stated. "I live well here, I really like the city and I hope to continue with Atletico for many more years."

Aguero on Juve list

Atletico Madrid's Sergio Aguero could be one of Juventus' big summer swoops, the Italian media is speculating.

The Old Lady are set to have their transfer spending power ahead of the new campaign increased by a cash injection from parent company Exor.

After revolutionising the squad last summer, director general Beppe Marotta says that the plan this time around is to sign two or three big name players.

One of them, if reports are to be believed, could be Argentine attacking sensation 'Kun' Aguero.

Juventus have Tiago problem

Juventus have an extra transfer problem to deal with, as Atletico Madrid are not going to take up their option on Tiago Mendes.

The Portuguese midfielder was a costly flop in Turin and sent out on loan to La Liga in January 2010.

However, it is reported in Marca that Atletico do not want to take up their option to make the move permanent.

As the 29-year-old still has one season left to run on his contract, he would therefore return to Juventus.

Forlan too expensive for Juve

Juventus general manager Beppe Marotta reportedly met with Diego Forlan's agent yesterday, but nothing positive came of their discussion.

Daniel Bolotnicoff apparently had a long discussion with Marotta about the Atletico Madrid striker's future only to establish that he would cost too much to sign.

Juventus are in the market for a world class striker and had hoped to lure the Uruguay international to Italy either in January or June.

Report: Juventus open talks for Forlan

Juventus have opened talks to sign Diego Forlan from Atletico Madrid, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Old Lady is in the market for a striker, preferably one who can play just off a target man, much like Fabio Quagliarella was doing until he suffered a season-ending knee injury.

La Gazzetta understands that Juventus have initially asked if they can loan Forlan for the rest of the season.

Bianchi-Atletico link rejected

Rolando Bianchi's agent brother has dismissed whispers that Atletico Madrid are keen on the Torino ace.

"Atletico Madrid have never contacted me," Tommaso Bianchi told TMW.

"It's a nice voice though, much like the one linking him with Milan. It shows that he is doing well and is well appreciated.

"Atletico are an important club on an international level and therefore it is pleasing, but there is some way to go in order to say that there is any truth in it."
