Icardi sues Inter for €1.5m

There are growing reports this evening Mauro Icardi is suing Inter to be allowed back into training sessions, pending €1.5m in damages.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Icardi and wife/agent Wanda Nara have started legal action against the club.

This was confirmed to several other sources by representatives at the club.

It is now open warfare between the player and Nerazzurri, a situation that started when he was stripped of the captaincy – for reasons that have never been confirmed or clarified in public – in February.

Icardi left out of Inter team dinner

Inter had a big team dinner this evening in Milan, including new buy Alexis Sanchez, but Mauro Icardi was nowhere to be seen amid Napoli, Monaco and Atletico Madrid interest.

The Nerazzurri came together for the team-building exercise and sat around tables set up in a square so they could all face each other.

New signings were made to do the now traditional hazing routine of singing a song, including Romelu Lukaku and Cristiano Biraghi.

Even Alexis Sanchez was present just hours after completing his loan move from Manchester United.

Report: Correa talks stall again

Reports in Italy and Spain suggest Milan’s offer for Angel Correa was considered far too low and negotiations with Atletico Madrid are breaking down.

There had seemingly been a breakthrough over the last few days, with Atleti lowering the asking price from €50m to €40m.

However, now SportMediaset, DAZN Spain and Cadena SER all report that talks have ground to a halt yet again.

They state the offer was for a two-year loan at €5m per year, plus option to buy in June 2021 for €25m.

Milan back in for Everton?

Milan have reportedly reopened talks for Gremio and Brazil winger Everton Soares.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Angel Correa remains Milan’s top target, but they have yet to meet Atletico Madrid’s valuation, which is in excess of €50m.

Consequently, Di Marzio claims that while the Rossoneri remain hopeful a deal can be agreed for Correa, they have momentarily checked back in for Everton.

Report: Milan deal for Correa close

Milan might finally have a breakthrough for Angel Correa with reports Atletico Madrid have lowered their asking price to €40m.

The negotiations have been dragging on for six weeks now with precious little progress, other than the €55m tag dropping to €50m.

The Rossoneri never raised their bid beyond €40m and their attempts to purchase the Argentina international had stalled following difficulties selling Andre Silva.

Correa to Milan, Silva to Espanyol?

Milan could agree a move for Atletico Madrid forward Angel Correa tomorrow as Espanyol are ready to take Andre Silva on loan.

According to AS, Correa was Atleti’s only first-team player who did not train on Monday morning, although he did gym work.

That is because, as per the newspaper, his transfer to Milan is ‘close to completion’ and could go through as early as tomorrow.

The two clubs have so far been unable to agree a fee, with the Rossoneri offering up to €40m and the Spaniards demanding in excess of €50m.
