Palermo give up on Campbell

Palermo are still some way off Arsenal’s €10m asking price for Joel Campbell, so look to Milan Djuric instead.

The Rosanero are prepared to give up on the Costa Rica international, as the offer of €6m is not close enough to the price-tag for negotiations to push forward.

According to Tuttosport, President Maurizio Zamparini is instead looking elsewhere for a reinforcement in attack.

The prime candidate appears to be Cesena’s Bosnian centre-forward Djuric, who spent his entire career in Italy.

Defrel headed for Palermo

Cesena's Gregoire Defrel is headed for Palermo, as confirmed by his agent: 'We're about to have another meeting'.

Some reports suggested that agent Giampiero Pocetta's demands were considered too high by Palermo, who were backing away from the deal, but Pocetta himself denied these rumours.

“Those who write these things are making it all up,” he told the Corriere di Romagna.
