Maxi Lopez to Udinese

Maxi Lopez will undergo a medical with Udinese tomorrow, as he replaces Fiorentina-bound Cyril Thereau.

The transfer deadline is on Thursday evening and the merry-go-round is in full swing.

Thereau agreed a deal worth €1.5m plus €0.5m in bonuses to join the Viola today.

His heir in Udine will be Torino forward Maxi Lopez, as multiple sources report the 33-year-old will have his medical on Thursday.

Done deal: Thereau to Fiorentina

Fiorentina have agreed terms to sign Cyril Thereau from Udinese and he’ll be replaced by Torino forward Maxi Lopez.

According to Sky Sport Italia and Sportitalia, the deal to buy Thereau on a permanent basis is done for €1.5m plus €0.5m in bonuses.

The 34-year-old had already been linked with Sampdoria last night.

He scored 12 goals in 33 Serie A appearances for Udinese last season and has been in Italy since 2010, also playing for Chievo.

As Giovanni Simeone said goodbye to his Genoa teammates ahead of a Fiorentina transfer, the Grifone choose Maxi Lopez as his heir.

Today ‘Cholito’ Simeone wished everyone well ahead of his “new adventure” in Florence, saluting both fans and fellow players.

The Argentine is expected to undergo a medical tomorrow, completing his move for €15m plus €3m bonuses.

Late show sends Lazio fourth

Late goals from Keita Balde Diao and Felipe Anderson saw Lazio past Torino and sent Simone Inzaghi's side up to fourth.

Ciro Immobile had opened the scoring for the Aquile, but a Maxi Lopez header put Sinisa Mihajlovic's men back on level terms.

However, Simone Inzaghi's attacking substitution in sending on Keita secured a deserved three points for his side.

Maradona: 'Icardi a traitor'

Diego Maradona has taken another opportunity to blast compatriot and Inter striker Mauro Icardi.

The pair have a history of making negative comments in the Press about each other, and the feud continues to grow.

Whilst admitting his qualities on the pitch, the Argentine revealed his thoughts that Gabriel Batistuta was ‘worth 10 of him’, and went on to blast Icardi for his affair with Wanda Nara.

"Icardi will be a great player, but Batistuta is worth 10 of him," the Napoli legend told Canale 5.
