Icardi: 'Maxi Lopez is ignorant'

Mauro Icardi added to his feud with Maxi Lopez by calling him “ignorant” after a handshake was refused again.

The pair were friends and teammates at Sampdoria who even went on vacation together, but that all changed when Maxi’s wife Wanda Nara left him to marry Icardi.

This evening it was Inter against Torino at San Siro and before kick-off Maxi Lopez refused to shake Icardi’s hand.

Maxi Lopez passport confiscated

It’s reported Wanda Nara – wife of Mauro Icardi – had Torino striker Maxi Lopez’s passport confiscated for failing to pay alimony.

The couple had an ugly divorce when Nara left Maxi Lopez for Icardi, who at the time had been his Sampdoria teammate and close friend.

They have been bitterly critical of each other via social media and interviews.

According to the latest reports, the situation has gone to the courts with Nara’s lawyers successfully getting the authorities to confiscate Maxi Lopez’s passport.

Torino: 'Ventura is staying!'

Torino ultras urged Giampiero Ventura to leave, but President Urbano Cairo assured “we’re already planning next season.”

The Granata fans laid out a huge banner before kick-off in today’s 0-0 draw with Carpi that was a back-handed compliment.

“15-05-16: End of the adVENTURe. Thank you for everything, Mister.”

This assumes the Coach will leave at the end of the season, something Ventura and the club have in no way confirmed.

Ventura: 'Torino smiling again'

Giampiero Ventura said Ciro Immobile “has brought the smile back” to Torino after their 1-1 draw at Sassuolo.

The Week 16 game was originally called off due to thick fog last month.

“Sassuolo put in great performances against Inter and Napoli, so the fact we caused them so many problems shows we’re back to being a team,” Ventura told Sky Sport Italia.

Torino on Sirigu and Maxi Lopez

Torino deny they are interested in PSG goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu and warn Maxi Lopez has to lose weight.

Director Gianluca Petrachi spoke to Sky Sport Italia ahead of tonight’s rescheduled Serie A game with Sassuolo.

“Ciro Immobile’s return was part of the plan, as we needed a striker and he was first choice. We worked on that deal in the shadows to avoid too much publicity.”

There are repeated reports Toro are in negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain for Italy international Sirigu.

Ventura: 'Immobile brings enthusiasm'

Giampiero Ventura believes Ciro Immobile brought more than talent to Torino after their 4-2 win over Frosinone.

The Granata were without a Serie A victory since November, but Immobile converted a penalty on his comeback and helped inspire Andrea Belotti’s brace.

“We needed the three points and today we saw a bit of fear, but with some more positive results we’ll gain confidence,” Ventura told Sky Sport Italia.

A fable for Fabio

Fabio Quagliarella is under-fire for apparently apologising for scoring against Napoli. Giancarlo Rinaldi says the Torino striker should brush up on his fables.

Fabio Quagliarella might be well advised to go back and read his Aesop's fables. The tale of the Man, the Boy and the Donkey - in particular - could strike a chord with him at this moment in time. The essence of its message is that by trying to please everyone, you end up pleasing nobody. And the Toro striker certainly seems to have precious few friends at the moment.
