Muriel and Eto'o set for Samp

Luis Muriel is in the Sampdoria squad for the first time, while Samuel Eto’o could start tomorrow against Chievo.

Muriel joined during the January transfer window from Udinese, but his move was held up repeatedly by a failed medical.

Mihajlovic: 'Samp not chasing third'

Sinisa Mihajlovic defended his treatment of Samuel Eto’o and insisted Sampdoria “are not fighting for third place.”

The Blucerchiati were held to a 1-1 home draw by a decimated Sassuolo today.

“It wasn’t easy, as we were coming off a 5-1 defeat at Torino and conceded after a minute, so there was the risk the team would crumble and not react,” Mihajlovic told Sky Sport Italia.

Mihajlovic: 'Eto'o apologised'

Samp: 'Eto'o situation is ok'

Sampdoria assure the row between Samuel Eto’o and Sinisa Mihajlovic is over. “Everything is ok.”

There had been fears the Cameroon international would tear up his contract just six days after completing the move from Everton.

“I can tell you the sun will be out tomorrow,” President Massimo Ferrero told Sky Sport Italia reporters.

There are reports Samuel Eto’o could move to the USA or China, despite apparently patching things up with Sampdoria.

The striker was involved in a dramatic bust-up yesterday after skipping the second of a double training session.

There were reports that the row could even see Eto’o leave the club, but the Cameroonian has trained with his Blucerchiati teammates this morning.

Eto’o trains with Sampdoria

The row between Sinisa Mihajlovic and Samuel Eto’o appears to be over, as the forward trains with Sampdoria this morning.

The former Barcelona man stormed out of training yesterday, refusing to take part in the second of a double session, imposed as punishment for a 5-1 defeat to Torino.

Samp Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic, later slammed Eto’o, calling his actions ‘a grave lack of respect’.

Report: Eto'o-Mihajlovic row solved

It’s reported Samuel Eto’o will be back in Sampdoria training tomorrow after patching things up with Sinisa Mihajlovic.

Sky Sport Italia suggest President Massimo Ferrero was able to smooth the situation and Eto’o pledged to be at work tomorrow morning.

"Nothing happened," assured Ferrero on TV show Tiki-Taka late Monday night. "He just asked for some time off."

The striker had stormed out following this morning’s session, which was meant the be only the first of two, and drove to Milan to see his family.

Mihajlovic: 'Eto'o lacked respect'

Sampdoria Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic said Samuel Eto’o showed “a grave lack of respect” when storming out of training.

The striker only joined from Everton six days ago, but was infuriated by the cancellation of a day off, as Mihajlovic ordered a double training session today as punishment for their 5-1 defeat to Torino.

After the morning session, Eto’o left, apparently driving to Milan in order to see his family.
