Pellegrini 'set for Roma stay'

Lorenzo Pellegrini has reportedly agreed a new contract with Roma, in a blow to the likes of Tottenham Hotspur.

Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Nicolo Schira writes how Pellegrini is in line to earn €3m a season until 2024 with Roma, who are looking to shut down speculation about the his future.

Schira adds the release clause of €30m in the midfielder’s current deal, payable in two transactions of €15m, will be removed from any renewal.

Reports: Pellegrini on Spurs radar

Tottenham Hotspur have shown an interest in signing Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini, according to reports.

Tottenham are preparing for life after Christian Eriksen, whose contract is due to expire at the end of the season.

Now, 90min.com and Calciomercato.it are claiming Pellegrini is on their list of possible replacements for Eriksen.

CM goes one step further, adding the Champions League finalists are plotting a bid of €50-60m in January.

Allegri favourite for Bayern job

Former Juventus coach Max Allegri is the favourite to take over as the new boss of Bayern Munich after Niko Kovac was fired, according to German newspaper BILD.

The Bundesliga champions announced this evening that Kovac had been dismissed.

Allegri has been on a sabbatical since leaving Turin last June, and it was thought that he was holding off for the opportunity to manage in England.

Allegri up for Bayern Munich job?

Max Allegri has been linked with the benches of Manchester United, Real Madrid, Arsenal, Tottenham and now also Bayern Munich.

The former Juventus boss is biding his time before starting a new adventure, having ended his spell in Turin with five consecutive Serie A titles.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, Allegri is the prime candidate for the Bayern Munich job if the Germans sack Niko Kovac.

That is more than a possibility after a shock 5-1 defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt this weekend.

Juve offer Rabiot for Eriksen?

Juventus are reportedly prepared to offer Adrien Rabiot in exchange for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen.

Eriksen’s contract expires at the end of the season and no new deal seems forthcoming.

Real Madrid are the only club prepared to match Tottenham’s demands for a January transfer as it stands, but Le10Sport claims Juve could also come forward.

That is because, as per the website, the Bianconeri could propose Rabiot in a straight swap for the Dane.

'New San Siro better than Tottenham'

The architect behind one of the designs for a new San Siro hosting Milan and Inter assures it’ll be “better than the Tottenham Stadium,” which they also planned.

The two clubs are eager to construct a new arena next to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, at which point they can then tear down the iconic structure.

They reduced the shortlist down to two designs, one with concentric rings around the stadium, while the other by architects Populous would have slats based on the Duomo di Milano and Galleria.

Agent: Why not Son at Napoli?

Son Heung-min’s agent has talked up a potential move to Napoli for the Tottenham Hotspur attacker. “One day, who knows?”

Son has established himself as a world star with his performances for Tottenham in recent seasons, but Thies Bliemeister suggested Napoli would appeal to the 27-year-old if he ever left last season’s Champions League finalists.

“I’ve never brought a player to Napoli, but I’d like too because Maradona, my favourite player, played for them,” Bliemeister told Radio Marte.

Report: Allegri decides his future

Max Allegri has reportedly decided to see out the rest of his sabbatical, amidst links with the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Milan.

Allegri left Juventus over the summer and had intended to take a year off, before returning to football next season.

It had been claimed that the 52-year-old could come back sooner, with potential vacancies at Tottenham, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain mooted.

There had also been talk of a return to Milan, whom he led to their last Scudetto in 2011.

Allegri closer to Spurs?

Max Allegri could be getting closer to Tottenham Hotspur as it is reported Real Madrid have set their sights on Mauricio Pochettino.

Reports linking Allegri to Tottenham first emerged this morning, and the speculation could be about to intensify.

That is because Calciomercato.com is now claiming Madrid will “strongly consider” Pochettino if they sack Zinedine Zidane.

The Argentine was coincidentally linked with Juve over the summer as a replacement for Allegri.

Max Allegri’s future increasingly seems to be in England, as he is among the favourites for Manchester United, Arsenal and now Tottenham jobs.

The former Milan and Juventus Coach is taking a Sabbatical after terminating his contract with the Bianconeri by mutual consent to make way for Maurizio Sarri.
