West Ham and Man Utd for Mandzukic

Mario Mandzukic turned down a move to Qatar, as the Juventus striker reportedly has January offers from Manchester United and West Ham United.

The Croatian veteran is no longer required in Turin under Coach Maurizio Sarri and had been in advanced negotiations with Al-Rayyan.

It’s reported he rejected a contract worth €7m per year to play in Qatar, as he wants to remain at a certain level.

Multiple sources claim Mandzukic has a proposal on the table from Manchester United for the January transfer window.

Mandzukic move to Al-Rayyan stalls

Mario Mandzukic’s agents have flown to Qatar for talks with Al-Rayyan amid reports the negotiations with Juventus have stalled.

The Croatia international is not on Juve’s Champions League squad list and is again left out of today’s Serie A match with Hellas Verona.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, the player had agreed a two-year contract worth €7.5m per season.

However, doubts set in over the last few days, with the player unconvinced by the temporary training camp they are operating in during the renovation process.

Reports: Mandzukic to Al-Rayyan

Al-Rayyan are expected to meet Mario Mandzukic’s camp tomorrow after emerging as favourites to sign the Juventus striker.

Mandzukic is Qatar-bound and had been linked with moves to Al-Gharafa and Al-Duhail.

However, Calciomercato.it reports Al-Rayyan have leapfrogged their rivals and will speak to the Croat’s representatives on Tuesday.

Paratici: 'Mandzukic to Qatar'

Juventus director Fabio Paratici confirms Mario Mandzukic is heading towards Qatar rather than MLS or LAFC. “He has been an important player for us.”

The Croatia international was left out of the squad travelling to face Fiorentina, as after being dropped from the Champions League squad list, his future seems to be elsewhere.

“There are market opportunities that present themselves,” Paratici told Sky Sport Italia.

Mandzukic evaluating offers

Mario Mandzukic is still rejecting Qatar and Al-Gharafa, but has been left out of the Juventus squad as he evaluates other transfer offers.

The striker is not making the trip to Florence for Saturday’s Serie A match at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

It is widely reported that he doesn’t have any fitness issues, but having been left off the squad list for the Champions League, is still considering an exit.

Agent: 'Borja Valero rejected transfers'

Borja Valero turned down moves to Fiorentina and Qatar because he "believes Inter can win everything this season and wants to convince Antonio Conte.”

The Spaniard is one of several players pushed to the sidelines over the summer and who were expected to leave San Siro.

“Borja wants to play for Inter. He left his home, Fiorentina, where they gave him all the love in the world and can never forget the way those people made him feel,” agent Alejandro Camano told passioneinter.com.

Qatar confirms Roma interest

Qatar’s Italian ambassador has confirmed that his country would be interested in buying Roma if it ‘made financial sense’.

Links between Qatar and Roma have existed for some time, despite James Pallotta’s continued denials that a sale could happen.

“Anything is possible,” Abdulaziz Ahmed Almalki Al Jehani was quoted as saying by affaritaliani.it after the logo launch for the 2022 World Cup, which the Arab state is hosting.

Qatar interested in Milan?

The State of Qatar reportedly wants to invest in Milan, despite alleged denials from Elliott Management.

According to news agency Adnkronos, Qatar has ‘accelerated’ its interest in Milan and representatives of its investment fund are ‘in talks’ to buy the club.

Furthermore, a meeting has been scheduled between both sets of leaders after the fund switched their attentions from Roma to the Rossoneri.

Matuidi set for Benatia reunion?

Blaise Matuidi could be set for a reunion with Medhi Benatia as it is reported Qatari side Al-Duhail want the Juventus midfielder.

According to Foot 365, Matuidi was recently approached by Al-Duhail about a potential transfer.

The Qatar-based club signed Benatia from Juve in January but would need to free up a foreign-player spot before they can bring in the Frenchman.

The 32-year-old has been at the heart of successive Scudetti since joining the Old Lady from Paris Saint-Germain in 2017.

Report: Drunk Sneijder smashes random car

Former Inter star Wesley Sneijder has reportedly been arrested and ordered to pay over €6,000 in damages after drunkenly jumping on a car.

The Treble-winning midfielder is currently playing for Al-Gharafa in Qatar, but the incident occurred in his hometown of Utrecht last weekend.

Shownieuws released footage of 35-year-old Sneijder jumping and dancing on top of the vehicle while clearly drunk.

Some versions of the story also claim he urinated against the car first.
