Oddo sacked, Strama back?

Massimo Oddo’s future at Udinese appears to be in serious doubt, with Andrea Stramaccioni linked with a return to the club.

The Friuli-Venezia-Giulia side were beaten 2-1 at home by relegation-threatened Crotone this afternoon -  their eleventh consecutive Serie A defeat.

It is a remarkable collapse by Oddo’s team, who were in contention for a Europa League place prior to the start of their catastrophic downturn in form.

Now, they are only four points above the relegation zone with four matches remaining of the season.

Udinese continue Strama talks

Udinese are reportedly in contact with Andrea Stramaccioni, but so far there’s no agreement to replace Massimo Oddo.

It was reported last night that the Zebrette were considering bringing their former Coach back, should they lose to Napoli tonight.

Oddo’s side have lost the last nine Serie A games in a row, and it’s expected the former Milan defender will be sacked if that reaches double figures tonight.

Stramaccioni sacked by Sparta

Sparta Prague have officially announced that they have sacked former Inter Coach Andrea Stramaccioni.

The Italian joined the Czech side in the summer, with the aim of challenging city rivals Slavia Prague and Viktoria Plzen for the title.

However, the Rudí currently sit fifth in the table, 14 points off the top of the league and the weekend’s 1-1 draw with 10-man Brno appears to have been the last straw.

Sparta to sack Stramaccioni?

Sparta Prague are expected to sack Coach Andrea Stramaccioni imminently after an underwhelming campaign.

Sparta’s 1-1 draw with lowly Brno left them fifth in the Czech League, 14 points behind leaders Viktoria Plzen, and Eurosport reports that was the final straw for the club.

Despite spending big on the likes of Jonathan Biabiany last summer, the Italian’s debut season at the club has been marred by unrest from fans, their curva even hanging a banner that depicted an airplane ticket for him to return to his homeland.

Sparta respond to Biabiany claim

Sparta Prague have denied forcing Inter loanee Jonathan Biabiany to train alone.

FIFPro suggested Biabiany would report Sparta to FIFA after his legal advisor told the organisation of how the winger was being ‘mobbed’ by Andrea Stramaccioni’s side.

However, the Czech club tweeted back: “Players who are not in the first team squad since the start of the winter preseason are in the training group with the first team fitness Coach Stefano Campari.

Biabiany to sue Sparta?

Inter-owned Jonathan Biabiany is likely to report Sparta Prague to FIFA after being forced to train alone.

Biabiany’s legal advisor told FIFPro the situation was “a severe violation of the player’s fundamental rights” and that Sparta were ‘mobbing’ the winger.

The website explains training alone is “football’s version of solitary confinement” and “has been outlawed in newly-agreed FIFA rules on the abuse of players.”

Strama: 'Inter had to sell Coutinho'

Andrea Stramaccioni reveals what prompted Inter to sell Philippe Coutinho to Liverpool for €13m five years ago. “We had to balance the books.”

The Brazilian found fame at San Siro as a very young man, leaving for Anfield in January 2013, but only five years later completed a transfer worth at least €120m to Barcelona.

“I am not surprised by Coutinho’s move, as Phil has improved a lot in the Premier League, and above all playing for Brazil, so he deserved a top club,” former Inter Coach Stramaccioni told Panorama magazine.

Strama: ‘Inter have Scudetto chance’

Andrea Stramaccioni sees a “great chance" for Inter to go top of Serie A, since Napoli and Juventus are playing each other on Friday.

The Nerazzurri are two points behind the Partenopei and two ahead of the champions, but one or both of those sides will drop points this weekend.

“I always follow Serie A and I’m happy for Inter,” the Sparta Prague Coach told Mondo Udinese.

“[Coach Luciano] Spalletti’s work is impressive, and they have a great chance on Sunday because of the direct clash between Napoli and Juve.
