Livorno bankruptcy: 'Time is up'

Livorno are heading for bankruptcy tomorrow, confirms President Rossettano Navarra. ‘Time is up, nobody paid, there is no money.’

The club has been in serious trouble even before its relegation from Serie B over the summer.

President Navarra and club owner Aldo Spinelli have managed to keep them afloat this far, but needed new investors today and received no reply.

Livorno a step away from bankruptcy

Livorno are a step away from bankruptcy as the Amaranto have reportedly not paid part of the necessary surety to save the team.

According to Sky Sport, the sum of money promised by Cerea Banca is missing as well as the financing decided by the shareholders.

Only the current president Raffaele Navvarra and former owner Aldo Spinelli have respected their commitments, paying regular salaries and the F24.

Diamanti extends with Western United

Alessandro Diamanti has officially extended his contract with Western United, announcing the new deal in Melbourne on social media.

The former Livorno man has contributed five goals and seven assists in his 19 games since arriving in July 2019.

The 37-year-old, who has played for clubs like Palermo, Fiorentina and Atalanta, will remain in Australia until 2022.

Serie B: Livorno release 10 players

Serie B side Livorno are reportedly being investigated after owner Aldo Spinelli let go of 10 first-team players in one day.

Lukas Zima, Matias Silvestre, Federico Viviani, Luca Rizzo, Michele Rocca, Adrian Stojan, Manuel Marras, Franco Ferrari, Enrico Brignola and Robin Simovic were all released or sent back to their parent clubs on Tuesday.

It came after a 2-0 home defeat to Venezia left them 12 points adrift of safety with just seven games remaining.

Spinelli: 'Allegri will help Livorno'

Max Allegri is considering his next career move, but Livorno President Aldo Spinelli confirms he has offered to ‘help’ save his hometown club.

Former Milan and Juventus boss Allegri has been heavily linked with the jobs at PSG and Manchester United after finishing his Sabbatical.

Along with that course of action, he could take on a different role with Serie B strugglers Livorno.

President Spinelli was in the process of selling the club before investor Majd Yousif saw his Dutch offices raided by police, ruining the takeover.

Allegri reaches out to Livorno

Former Milan and Juventus coach Max Allegri has offered to help his hometown club Livorno back on their feet: “He loves his city.”

The six-time Scudetto winner has offered patron Aldo Spinelli a hand in saving Livorno from relegation to Serie C, with the Amaranto bottom of the second tier.

“I can say that I was moved when I spoke to the coach whom I consider to be the best in Europe,” Spinelli told the Corriere dello Sport. “He called me, and we met in Monte Carlo.”

Ex-Juventus youth player in a coma

Former Juventus and Livorno player Giuseppe Rizza is in a coma after suffering a brain haemorrhage at the age of 33.

His playing career is still going at semi-pro team Rinascita Netina, as after playing in the Juve youth academy until 2008, he went on to Livorno, Juve Stabia and Nocerina, among others.

According to reports, he suffered a brain haemorrhage on June 5 and is in an induced coma at the Cannizzaro hospital in Catania.

Livorno: 'Fear takeover is scrapped'

Serie B side Livorno risk bankruptcy, as President Aldo Spinelli admits the takeover has collapsed because Majd Yousif was allegedly arrested.

The Dutch impresario was on the verge of completing the takeover when his offices in the Netherlands were raided.

According to De Telegraaf, Yousif was arrested as part of a probe into the sale of luxury vehicles, which could’ve been a front for drug trafficking.

Livorno President Aldo Spinelli admits to being ‘worried’ after Majd Yousif, who is in takeover talks, saw his Dutch offices raided by police.

Serie B side Livorno have been in financial trouble for some time and it’s reported failure to complete the sale could see them go bankrupt this summer.

It is therefore a concern that Dutch police raided the offices of Yousif in Amsterdam, seeking information on an alleged illegal transfer of luxury vehicles.
