Juve: 'Thiago Silva a Pirlo bargain...'

Beppe Marotta hinted at a Juventus swoop for Paris Saint-Germain defender Thiago Silva. “This reminds me of the opportunity for Andrea Pirlo.”

The Bianconeri director general sat down to speak with Rai Sport about the current transfer market, including the status of Brazil international Thiago Silva.

His contract is due to expire in June 2017 and so far no agreement has been reached on a renewal, meaning he could be a free agent.

Juninho: ‘Pjanic is class’

Juninho Pernambucano believes Miralem Pjanic is “among the best” at free-kicks, and that Juventus can win the Champions League.

The Brazilian is regarded as one of the best free-kick takers of all time, and played alongside the Bosnian when they were both at Lyon, the club the Bianconeri face tonight.

“He had personality, talent and a desire to learn,” Juninho recalled in an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport.

Giovinco: ‘MLS can be one of the best’

Sebastian Giovinco is convinced that Major League Soccer can become one of the leading Leagues in world football.

The 29-year-old Italian joined Canadian team Toronto FC from Juventus in 2015, where he has since scored 40 goals in 67 appearances.

Although the forward is critical of certain rules and regulations that exist in MLS, he believes the League has the potential to thrive in the future.

“There are too many regulations and I think that is the problem with this League,” Giovinco commented.

Pirlo: 'What I love about MLS'

Andrea Pirlo loves the “coming together” of fans in MLS and is glad he joined New York City FC.

The midfielder was one of the first big names to make it over the Atlantic.

“It was a new League for me, but above all I wanted to come to America,” Pirlo told Sky Sport Italia.

“It represents a new and different experience for me in a State that fascinated me. I also got the opportunity to study a new language.

Agent: ‘Locatelli is like Pirlo’

Manuel Locatelli’s agent describes the Milan youngster as “a little Andrea Pirlo” after his performance against Sassuolo.

Pirlo denies Pogba quotes

Andrea Pirlo denies giving an interview about Paul Pogba’s world-record return to Manchester United.

British media carried quotes from the New York City FC midfielder in which he said the Bianconeri were “still laughing” about taking the Frenchman for free and then selling him back for €105m.
